He will always get mauled by Bivol... too big, too strong, too good. GGG is well past best, so not sure that fight has much meaning now. His best route, IMO, is to fight Benavidez to finish off his complete dominance of 168.
Yeah Bivol is a huge favourite for the rematch. I agree. Golovkin is past his best, but he's the best MW in the world, has history with Canelo, and Canelo is coming off a loss so I think it makes sense. Benavidez, meh.
avoiding the rematch may hurt his reputation but I think he should move on from Bivol I think he should face Andrade, Charlo or Benavidez
Froch would never come close in a rematch with Ward, same applies here... Bivol taught Alvarez lessons he will never forget ....
He has more than enough potential fights to take him through the end of his career: Golovkin, Big Twin, Andrade, Benavidez, Zurdo, Munguia for example..........there's others as well........
Canelo better get out of the 175 pound division like it's on fire. If that had been Joe Smith in the ring with him last night he'd have been put to sleep . Canelo hit Bivol with nothing that bothered him one bit and Smith did better than Canelo did against Bivol
A rematch with Bivol is a career ending move. He lost ten rounds, he'll lose all 12 next time. Who pays to watch him fight after that?? His body could be changing, 168lbs might be really hard to make these days. Go back down there and get your head jabbed off by Golovkin and get beat by him a third time?? Coming off an L and a weight cut he could be seriously hurt by GGG.... IF he can still make 168 somewhat safely then he should target Charlo, but even that is quite dangerous. Charlo has a decent jab. Maybe you start with babyfood like Munguia first and then go to Charlo. I truly do hate to say this....but it's also possible he could be moving onto the next stage of his career and be involved in fights with Jake and Logan Paul. Maybe get a UFC guy to crossover.
