Honestly not sure why you even posted this. About as useful as me saying Floyd Mayweather was 5'8 with a 72 inch reach. Jermain Taylor was 5'11 with a 74 and a half inch reach... Jamel Herring is 5'10 with a 72 inch reach. Guess what they all have in common? They're NOT Light Heavyweights..
You quoted me twice and I responded to the second one, how is that a deflection? His arms are short for a light heavyweight moron, that's the whole point of the discussion. He's NOT a light heavyweight. You think the average reach at 175 is 70 inches? What point are you trying to make to me exactly?
His arms are less than an inch shorter than Bivol, but your claim wasn't that his reach was too short for LHW anyways. You said he had "t-rex" arms, which means his arms are too short for his body, when in fact they're longer than average. Now you can keep lying and defecting, or you can be a man and admit you were wrong about his reach.
Bro, you're going around in circles, you're honestly confusing yourself. his arms are an inch and a half shorter, Canelo has a 70 and a half inch reach while Bivol has a 72 inch reach. But it doesn't matter, it's irrelevant. Like honestly, I'm baffled at the extremes you're going through for this strawman argument. T-rex arms is just an analogy for having short arms, period. You're the one who brought up that they were longer than average for his height which is completely irrelevant to the whole conversation.
Him being 5’8 with t rex arms does not mean he’s not a lhw, it means he needs to use a swarming style against taller fighters and have wuick feet which he doesn’t.
Qawi was only 5ft 6 or something. Don’t think Canelo is too small. He just needs time to adjust to the weight.
If Clenelo is too small for 175, Bivol would have walked him down, bullied him physically, and stopped him. That's what happens to guys who are too small for a division.
You don't seem to understand how reach works. 70.5" is not his arm length, that's his wingspan. So if there's a 1.5" difference in wingspan that turns into 0.75" difference per arm, which is what actually matters. And his arms aren't short. Period. If anything they're longer than average for his height. Learn the basics before talking smack, jack@ss.
He was too big for super middle on Saturday night. so he's light heavy. He not too small for light heavy. He not good enough to be the best light heavy but don't think he was good enough to be best at middle also!
The thing about this fight was that Canelo got out-boxed. Bivol simply out-boxed Canelo. Canelo had no answers to Bivol's tight defense, footwork and combinations. Surprisingly, Bivol seemed to be the quicker fighter (I expected the naturally smaller guy to be quicker). This was not a case of Bivol physically imposing himself on Canelo. There was no mauling or laying on Canelo to ware him down. Canelo was seeming unprepared or unable to compete against Bivol's skills. Canelo seemed to be going for that one big shot that would turn things around. Perhaps you could say Bivol's size helped him take Canelo's shots but the really story is how few shots Canelo landed and how few of those were really clean. Bivol put on a boxing clinic. Canelo is a talented, disciplined guy with a very good team around him. I expect him to come into a rematch better prepared with a better game plan.
He's not too small to compete against a lot of light heavyweights, but I believe most of the big prime light heavyweights like Saad Muhammed, Michael Spinks, and Bob Foster would beat him relatively easy, or worse.
Uh.. someone who fights and has made a career at Light Heavyweight? Bivol has been a Light Heavyweight his entire pro career, he's a natural Light Heavyweight. Canelo has had only 2 fights at Light Heavyweight and looked ineffective in both fights, he's not a natural Light Heavyweight.
