No one forced Canelo to fight 175, he takes risks because he has judges in his pocket. as evident by the ridiculous scorecards all 3 judges had in the fight. Bivol has never fought at 168 in his entire professional career, why should a 31 year old have to drop to a weightclass. He's never fought at and weaken himself to benefit Canelo ?

Canelo rolled the dice moved up to 175 took on a challenge, hoping the judges would benefit him. And also the referee aka Russel Mora, who was involved in one of the worst officiated fights in history Mares vs Agbeko. Would benefit him aswell and guess what ? it didn't work Bivol was even more dominant than everyone thought he would be, that not even judges could steal the fight from Bivol.

Boo hoo for Canelo i guess well guess what tough luck, either fight Bivol again at 175 or move back down and fight someone else. There isn't no middle ground here it's either one or the other.

Defending the Undisputed SMW Titles against Bivol at 168 isn't a stipulation.

What the hell are you doing replying to me? I'm not the one creating a thread about how the fight would be different at 168. This is in response to "what if it was" not that it is. Maybe if you spend less time defending everything Canelo you would actually comprehend what is being discuss.

I don't expect Bivol to move down to face Canelo.

I don't expect Canelo to move down to face Golovkin.

    Moving down almost never works.

He takes risks because he's a badass. Anyone who thinks he has judges in his pocket are delusional and tinfoil hat wearing freaks. Fighters fight, judges judge. People who believed this nonsense said Bivol had no chance to win a decision because "Canelo's judges" just got proven wrong. Now after finally being exposed for thinking there was a Vegas judging conspiracy, now it's "but it wasn't that close" or "the judges tried to rob Bivol". Just stop with this nonsense. The judges scored it accurately. Canelo won the first 4 rounds and round 9, Bivol won the rest. Give it a rest.

Now you COULD give Bivol some of the first 4 rounds, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with having it 8-4 or 9-3 Bivol, but those were Canelo rounds based on him landing the better and harder shots, even if Bivol landed a couple more jabs. A couple more ineffective jabs do not swing rounds when compared with the uppercut bombs with Bivol on the ropes that Canelo landed in those rounds. Now stop crying about the scorecards and learn how prize fights are scored by the judges at ringside. The judges at ringsize value heavy eye catching power shots like those uppercuts. The sooner you understand how pro boxing matches are scored the better, because it's obvious that many fans still don't grasp this.
Ask him, he's been talking about it for years. He says he can make 168 no problem, and Bivol obviously wants to dare to be great himself and do something that will enhance his legacy which becoming Undisputed at 168 would do.
What you want Bivol to do has no bearing. if he wants to challenge Canelo at 168 then that's what he'll do, and there's nothing you or I can do to stop it. And it's not a matter of Canelo trying to weaken him or drag him down. Bivol has been saying he wants to fight to 168 for years, long before Canelo was even being talked about as an opponent.

When you take big risks like Canelo did against Bivol, you have to live with the consequences. If you refuse to take risks, then you stay mediocre and your rewards are limited by your aversion to risk. He also took a big risk by moving up to 160 to fight GGG, and he rose to the occasion. Was it fear in his eyes in the mid rounds of GGG 1 or was it a leaky gas tank? He performed out of his mind against GGG, very few predicted he would do that well against GGG. He dared to be great against GGG and pulled it off. Against Bivol, he came up short. No shame in that. You win some you lose some, but the ambition Canelo continues to show is worthy of praise. Win lose or draw no one in boxing is taking the risks he is taking, challenging himself against the very best.

If you're worried about what would happen to Bivol at 168 then just admit it. You can't have it both ways, either it was so easy for Bivol to win that it would be the same result in a rematch. If size wasn't an issue, but that Bivol is just flat out better than him, which some people are arguing then why would it be any different at 168? Fans talk out of two sides of their mouth, they say one thing because it sounds good but then they have a problem when a fighter wants to prove what they said was the case.

You can't say size wasn't a factor, Bivol was just better and would always beat Canelo easily but then say wait he shouldn't fight him at 168 because that would favor Canelo. You have to be consistent, if you're worried about what would happen at 168 then obviously size DOES matter lol. Remember, Canelo is handicapped fighting at 175 that is not his best weight. That was clearly evident back when he fought Kovalev. He took the risk to challenge himself. If Bivol fights Canelo at 168 then he's challenging himself fighting at Canelo's weight.

To be fair, wasn't it Bivol that floated a fight at 168?

Bivol didn't look like he had 7 pounds to lose to make 168, the guy looked thin at 175.

Bivol said he will have the rematch BUT this time he wants to be treated as the Champion & not give Alvarez everything, well that's @ 175 . If he goes to 168 for all Clenboi's belts they will seize the opportunity to drain him, short training camps, special judges etc etc...The only skill here will be from Hearns trying to water down Bivols rights & Reynosa frying those super duper burgers...

    Stop with the damage control

We already went through this earlier

And he ducked a prime GGG

Hid out in the coop even though he weighed more than him until he saw the signs of ageing and decline he'd been biding his time waiting for

And his judges robbed GGG x 2

And he dared to be great by jousting PEDs in his ass
