He been asking for Canelo at 168 for about 3-4 years now so this is no surprise.. If I was his advisers I would be against it but that’ll be the ultimate badass move..

I like it. It's a power play. He coming for all the Canelo gold.

I saw an interview where he was indifferent and not sure if he could make that weight.

He's obviously really confident that providing he can make weight, he'll win another dominant decision.

Pure balls on the fella imo.

That's bad ass. See what you done started now Nelo, I'm coming for all your **** and legacy "my friend". Bivol is what you call a cerebral silent assassin. He did the opposite of the impetuous Plant who opened a war of words against the whole Canelo team and called them cheaters. Bivol just came witht a mask of respect while he was plotting of taking everything. You could see it in the fight too. Baited Canelo with the guard and let him think that he was there for the taking but then would explode and have Canelo shocked. He also hid his stamina reserves and actually turned bully against the bully, and backed him up. I've never seen Canelo with a dead serious look like he had in this fight. He never could truly gauge what Bivol really was going to do or what he had in the tank, but he knew that he could get taken out. It's chess, not checkers.

This is the only move that makes sense.

Bivol could become undisputed in 2 weight classes in 2 fights.
That would cement his legacy as an ATG.

He's an elite fighter in his prime. Canelo has never shown that he can handle that caliber of a fighter. So why wouldn't he be confident. Bivol is a level above Canelo. In order to find a challenge Bivol needs to step up in class in terms of competition.

Doubt it happens, bivol has bigger fish to fry at 175 and csnelo needs to fight benavidez before he gets too old.

Nah....Alvarez is still the A-side. I think he would rather fight Bivol at 175 because if he beats him at 168, he won't get credit.

The most Bivol can get renegotiated in the rematch negotiation is more money. Everything else will still be skew to Alvarez demands.

Canelo won't fight him again nor he would fight anyone on that weight(Beterbiev).

This fight was the measuring stick. Results weren't ideal.

Can't step up much more than the P4P number 1 tbh.
