    5 years ago Canelo was having his very first fight at the full MW limit.

    But if it's true that they avoided each other for half a decade in hopes of getting the Canelo pey day, that's just very sad.

    Why do you think they don't get criticized like Spence and Crawford, or Canelo for waiting 1.5 years to fight Golovkin?

    They don't fight each other, because 2 Russians fighting each other won't attract audience in the West, therefore it will generate little revenue for both of them.

    However, if they fight some boxer from US or Europe, they will be paid more. So why fight each and lose their titles for a small amount of salary instead of waiting for a challenger from West and make much more money?
