As much as Khan has his faults, including a terrible chin, wouldn't it be better asking Why is Conor Benn TERRIFIED of fighting Avanesyan (or any other top welterweight) rather than chasing over the hill shot fighters?
Boxing is boxing. We’ve seen it happen in the past , Muhammad Ali, Roy Jones Jr. are perhaps the two most famous ones who fought on too long. Look at the return of Evander Holyfield and also Danny Williams who’s fighting on insanely long and he’s probably not making any money of note. In regards to Khan if he thinks he can continue them so be it. I think the last we seen of Vintage Khan was against Canelo but I can’t say for certain that Benn would beat even a shot to bits Khan.
Good fight for Benns profile with casuals so can understand why they want it. Khan must only want an easy payday in Dubai against a bum. If he's got any confidence in beating Benn he should take it, why not, for that sort of money, no reason not too, and Khan is already a very mocked figure after being knocked out so many times so there's nothing to lose. If Benn knocks Khan out in a round , people will just say Khan was past it anyway, Khan loves money so take the fight.
Conor Benn is a 147 wrecking machine, nobody wants the smoke, it's not his fault. Spence Jnr will go up to 154 just to avoid him and I think Crawford would rather retire with his 0 than face "The Destroyer". He's tearing up the division and doing things that not even the previous elite could do, like stopping Algieri.

Benn isn’t a big enough name due to the fact he’s on DAZN these days to be able to afford to give Amir khant fight the moneys his mrs is expecting. Benn would savage him within 2 rounds which proves nothing but it does kick the can down the road a bit further for Eddie’s master plan to come to fruition. Stick him in with limited challengers until the belts splinter and he gets in against the most beatable of the people to step in for a vacant belt.
