Who would you say has a case of being the best Mexican fighter of this era since Barrera, Morales, and JMM? Although Canelo is obviously the bigger star Gallo has some good wins on his belt as well.

Canelo has wins over GGG, Cotto, Kovalev, Jacobs, Smith, Saunders, Plant. Became first undisputed 168lb fighter.

Gallo has wins over Chocolatito, Sor Rungvisai, Cuadras, Segura, Viloria, Melindo. Also avenged all of his losses.

Estrada will finish greater. If they both retired today, most would incorrectly rate Canelo higher.

Canelo will finish as greater because most people don't give a damn about those lower weight classes you have a guy who has fought from 147 to 175 so of course you're going to get more respect for that. The talent pool is much greater at those weights than it is at the lower weights that Estrada fights at.

Most people don't give a damn, but that doesn't make them worse fighters. Estrada's at the top of the best division in boxing, Canelo's at the top of the worst. And cut the bull****, Canelo was never a welterweight, and he's always been in the ring between 170 and 180 ever since he win his first title.

Estrada's best wins are better, and his losses aren't as bad. He's the greater fighter :deal:

Sorry the talent pool is much deeper at the higher divisions than the lower those are just facts. How many grown men do you see walking around at under 125 pounds??? How many do you see walking around at 180? Those are facts that can't be refuted. You have to bring into question the overall talent pool at say 108 112 and 115 vs 147 154 160 168 and 175. You don't have a leg to stand on sheer numbers do you in.

Pbf is 10000 light years better than anyone Estrada lost to and bivol is right there with the best guys that Estrada lost to if not more talented. Ggg was p4p #1 just like Gonzalez was and canelo beat him his resume isn't any better than Canelo's and canelo went through more weights.

Canelo pretty clearly. Canelo before the Bivol loss was on the cusp of the greatest Mexican fighter of all time, Estrada not even in the top 10.

Canelos resume is full of asterisks and question marks plus hes a known ped cheater and to top it off Estrada is clearly the most skilled of the two.

Estrada and its not even close.

The best division in boxing is 115 and it isn't even close. **** the "how many guys actually weigh 115" argument, it's irrelevant. The fact of the matter is that the best 115lbers are better than the slobs Canelo's fought at 168.

Chocolatito > GGG, and Rungvisai, Cuadras 2x, Viloria, Marquez, Segura and Melindo are better wins than the rest of Canelo's.

Estrada has never once been schooled. Canelo has twice. And Estrada never lost to a 36 year old who naturally weighs 30lbs less than him.

    115 ain't the best division.

Estrada has moved up 7 pounds his whole career let that sink in that's less than the jump from 160 to 168. I didn't write the rules guys at those weights will not get the same amount of respect as guys who fight at higher weights nor should they, the talent pool isn't as deep.

Lastly Gonzalez wasn't considered > ggg not on this forum that's for damn sure. If their careers ended today canelo without a doubt would be ranked higher than Estrada you're high to suggest otherwise.

115 is by far and away the best division in boxing. It's actually so far ahead of the others that you'd need to double the amount of elite fighters at the second best weight to have half as many.

And yet, Estrada gave up more weight against Rungvisai than Canelo has in his whole career. Canelo came in at 175lbs when he was a junior middleweight; I'm not about to praise him for eventually fighting at the weight he's supposed to. And the overall talent pool at 115 compared to 168 is 1) completely irrelevant, what matters is who they fought - an area which Estrada clearly wins over in - and 2) isn't even in 168s favour. As seen here.

And this forum as a rule swings from any Eastern European's nuts. Chocolatito is a better, greater fighter than GGG.

Super fly weight is better than Super middleweight I agree with that but that's where it stops camelo for his career has faced better opposition than Estrada over the course of his career and in more weights.

But he hasn't. Canelo hasn't faced better opposition than Estrada, and the three best fighters he's fought, he's either not beaten or very barely beaten them.

Canelo has never been on the cusp of the greatest Mexican of all time. Not even on the cusp of the top five.
