He was always in exciting fights, win or lose. And his handspeed was ridiculously fast

I always thought Khan would have been better served turning pro later in his career, although that was never going to happen given his status after the Olympics. Worth remembering that some of his fights on ITV did 6-7 million viewers which was good going even back then.

He had a good career. Just a shame he couldn't get a mayweather or pacman fight. I think he wasted time chasing them fights at times but was always in good fights.

Exactly, like him or hate him he gave us all some great moments to remember, and to be fair he "Could" fight and was game as anything.

Good to hear he is hanging them up now, absolutely the correct thing to do.

Thank you Amir for the great nights, the highs and lows, the edge of the seat stuff that you forced upon us with your style!!

Have a happy enjoyable and deserved retirement champ.

Good decision, for the most part I enjoyed his career. Came to fight 95% of the time. Respect

After the Brook debacle, there was nothing else but retirement for Khan. I was surprised he was in talks for a Benn fight, thankfully he didn't get it. For someone with such an abysmal chin, he made a great boxing career.

The only fighter out there who seemingly got more confident in his ability after getting heavily dropped repeatedly.

Was a capable boxer with shocking punch resistance in his prime which got progressively much worse over the years.

Khan said on Sky earlier on that boxing "made him a better person".

Wonder what the hell he was like before?

Anyone that gets in that ring for me always get a huge amount of admiration, khan wasn’t a particular favourite of mine but had some decent fights, shame how he looked at the end with brook, a fight that was well past it’s sell by date. Glad they both retired

Thanks for the comments Beterbiev picture. Someone who I’m quietly confident you have never seen box live.

No need to be negative, think about his heart in the Chino fight instead. Enjoy the weekend.

For somebody with an abysmal chin you would think it would put you off getting in there, but he didn't he cracked on and it should be admired in my opinion, lesser fighters who know their own vulnerabilties avoid fights where they know there is a certainty of them getting laid out, Khan didn't and i applaud him for what he achieved.
