When Joe beat Roy they were both well out of their prime so what would have if they met at super middle prime for prime.

RJJ wins this all day, every day. Joe Calzaghe was an excellent fighter and a deserving Hall-of-Famer but Jones was on a different level. If Jones doesn't stop him he wins a very comfortable decision.

No fighter is unbeatable. But Roy Jones @168 is the closest I can think of.
    Jones by comfortable decision.

One of the fights, or even the most interesting fight I could think of watching.
Certainly, the fight would not be like in their real fight, and it is ungrateful to predict, but I will still try.
    51/49 for RJJ

How is this fair? I’m not a massive Calzaghe fan, but someone who found a way to win every time no matter the style, and you still say, he loses easily? Montell Griffin exploited Jones’s weaknesses to some degree, so why couldn’t Calzaghe who showed he could adapt to every style no matter the level? Why couldn’t he exploit Jones?

Calzaghe was past his prime but Jones was shot to bits. He was dominated and stopped by Glen Johnson 4 years earlier. Anyway, prime for prime Jones wins clearly. Level above.

And the likes of Robin Reid and Kabary Salem exploited Calzaghe's, struggling with the likes of them doesn't convince me he could beat Jones at 168 which was where he was at his absolute best btw, not at 175 where he fought Griffin,

Jones, possibly by TKO if Calzaghe got froggy. If it happens in England or Wales I'm not sure though, we can have a Peter Manfredo incident.

I would have to go with Roy on this one.

I have Calzaghe as the greatest SMW of all-time, but head-to-head, I have Roy as damn near unbeatable at that weight.

I think once again a lot of people are ignoring that Jones failed a PEDs test and it was covered up, putting his entire legacy in question.

Calzaghe all day long based on the fact that we know that what he accomplished was done with talent.
