Love or Hate Teddy he has always tried to call out corruption...He is at it again.!!! This content is protected
He has been calling out Fixed fights for years....Canelo V Bivol is just another one ge calls a disgrace.....
Atlas is just using the fight as a chance to shoot off his mouth, he couldn't care less about Bivol. Let's not forget, before the fight, Teddy picked Canelo to win. If they really planned to rob Bivol, the scores would have been the same but for Canelo. The judges were biased, but no robbery happened.
All three judges are well respected. Weisfeld has his own law practice. I rewatched the first 4 rounds on a u tube video that showed a higher view. Both fighters were not landing very clean in this view for the first 4 rounds. Canelo seemed to get through a bit better. I thought Bivol did better in rd 9 than 1 to 4. It was an onslaught from rd 5 on. I hope Bivol is a little more active in the rematch starting off.
Teddy is an extremely opinionated guy who to me talks out of his ass A LOT. I did not watch the video and don’t even know what he said because I find him irritating. In my eyes he’s not a good trainer, he’s nothing more then a Cus Damato wannabe. Cus taught mike, and Cus taught Teddy what to do when when it came to mike. Kevin took over after Cus passed and had way more credibility as a former fighter and was a better trainer. Teddy has never taken one fighter from the amateurs to a championship. Mike Tyson said it perfectly one day because I’ve met Teddy and seen him train several times and seen how he interacts with people. Mike said Teddy is not a tough guy, but he wants people to think he’s a tough guy, some street guy with connections. Ok I’m done with my Teddy Atlas rant
That's the best Atlas spiel I have ever listened too, sounds a lot like my post which was a lot less detailed.
True, it's such a clean sport, the promoters such good guys, judges are practically saints, and certainly money (lots of it) doesn't sway opinions. I'm so glad I'm a boxing fan, in fact I praise God every night for Bob Arum, Don King and Eddie Hearne for being honest, upright men.
His analysis was great. In fact that whole video was very well put and sadly true. There are different ways and methods to keep a guy down and a guy up.
