He’s only 34 and has solid pop at higher weights (when he’s in shape). Even though he was kind of a cherry picker I was always a fan. Is he just done or are we gonna see him again in a few years?

Feels like a decade maybe more, since I saw him on tuesday night fights or friday night fights....something like that, and I thought wow, this kids gonna go somewhere. Wasted talent as far as I'm concerned. If he's not done now @ 34 it'll be all over in a few years when he's 37.

I think he has one last cashout KO loss à la Jessie Vargas, in his future.

At 135, he would have been DA MAN. Teofimo would have been his *****, Kambosos might be able to last the distance, Devin would not have been able to handle his physicality at that weight.

Mikey Garcia was not overrated. How just never lived up to his potential. He had excellent technique, very good speed hand and foot speed, and he could move around the ring. The problem, IMO, is that Mikey never LOVED boxing. I can not remember where I read it, but I believe someone was interviewing him and he said, "he did not really watch boxing because he did not like it much," or something to that effect. So although he had the physical tools and intelligence to compete at a world-class level, his heart just was not into it. Thus, his poor showing and disappearance from the boxing scene.

I wonder where he has been. He should take a tune up first. I feel he is lazy now. The big paydays from DAZN to guys like him and GGG have ruined them and made them lazy.

Most boxing fans feel this way about simple effective fighters.
