The British title fights never disappoint when it’s 2 young hungry fighters competing for the belt. Bentley Vs Udofia was another brilliant fight in that long list. Bentley deserved the win after coming on strong in the second half of the fight. 115-113 on my card. Both good fighters.
Outstanding fight, big props to both guys. I had it a draw, but it could have went either way (was so close).
Can’t recall any time channel 5 has failed to deliver. It was compelling. Great that they have a contact with Wasserman.
Love channel 5 fight nights, they always seem to be able to put on at least one great fight and its usually the main event. Just great matchmaking.
Great fight and the right venue for this type of fight. Have been to the indigo a few times for fight nights and it has a big sociable bar area at the back were it's easy to get a drink and seating on the upper level that gives a great view of the ring. Great atmosphere.
The next time Wasserman Boxing / Boxing Social bring us the undercard, we want to be free of disco rhythms between each round and before the ring announcer announces the result. Maybe it's me who's getting old but I was going insane. I found it very annoying.
The biggest thing I hate about Matchroom shows is the bad pub music blasting between rounds - I’m almost longing for an advert.
I can live with that when I am present at a boxing show, but last night it was the same disco song that was repeated 80 - 100 times. I would much rather hear what the coaches are saying to the boxers between rounds. By the way, it was a pleasure listening to Andy Clarke and Richie Woodhall.
I always appreciate world level fights and technical master classes from fighters around the world, but these are the fights I love. If either Channel 5, Sky, BT or DAZN didn't show a single world title fight and shifted their attention to good domestic dust ups, small hall or not, I would be very happy.
Agree, commentary was excellent as both were enjoying the fight for what it was and little commentary bias. Adds to the fight rather than detracting from it.
