With this win has a better case right now than Canelo, Bud or Spence.

Charlo is the 1st of a whole line of great 154 pounders to ever become undisputed. What an accomplishment! Lions only!

Let me guess. Charlo goes to 160. Spence goes to 154. Ennis has to fight someone else in a 147 vacated title fight. Wait for it.

Have to say, it was very good of PBC/SHO to give that away to UK fans tonight.

This was more impressive than Bud beating Porter or Canelo losing to Bivol. He performed at a much higher level, showed his skills and talent.

Don't get me wrong Charlo is an absolute beast but skill wise he's not on the level of a Crawford, Spence, Canelo, Usyk, who are my top 4(not in any order). Don't get me wrong his achievement was great, but I base my p4p listing on who would win if they were the same size(though that argument is usually flawed since heavier fighters usually fight quite differently, but Usyk fights and moves like a welterweight and fights like one) and I don't think Charlo would beat any of those 4.

I agree with that but Jermell needs to be in that conversation. He's Top 5 P4P for me with this win. Undisputed is important and the way he won, how he fought moves him way up the P4P ladder.

interesting personally I was thinking of making a thread about this premise the last decade of 147 gets hyped to hell, while 154 gets over looked even though 154 has provided more big fights it took years for the top welters to fight.
EJ my guy but we still waiting on the Crawford fight guys like Keith Thurman running from and stalling out fights no rematches of close fights.
Why is 147 considered better than 154?

H-town stand up! Best version of Mell I've seen, and he was in a dog fight. Hats off to Castano, other top guys in that division will be scared shitless to fight him.

What have you done for me lately. We talk about fighters stepping up and staking their claim. Canelo left the door open by losing and Jermell walked through that door. P4P is Fight to Fight and no one has been more impressive in their last fight than Jermell Charlo. You to win big to prove yourself and EARN P4P. Charlo did that tonight!

Jaron Ennis can fight Josh Taylor at 147. Now, that would be entertainment.
