I think he is waiting for the right moment to go to 147. When it is too late to face Spence because he is going to 154 and when Terrence Crawford is over the hill, which he already is at 35 years old. Nevertheless, hopefully Ennis and Ortiz Jr. are around to keep things exciting.

Wasn't bhop undisputed after the De La Hoya fight? I believe that was the official start of the 4 belt era as before Bhop no one was allowed to unify the wbo. I might be wrong I take a few shots after fights (only drink light beer during fights) and the edibles are kicking in so my memory is not the best. Plus who knows what the official technicalities are. I mean sis the era start with the first unification or the first time IBHOF recognized the wbo idk. **** i try not to post when I'm this impaired I hope I'm not making a fool of myself. Anyway good night.

lmao at the edibles be CAREFUL with that those are dangerous and it’s kinda weird technically the first guy considered Undisputed with 4 belts is Hopkins who legitimized the WBO but officially the WBO wasn’t fully recognized by the other 3 organizations until late 2007 early 2008

What are you failing to see? On that final combination there is a jab, then as he transitions there is a straight left and then a hook to the body.

That was the beginning of the end. Castaño slowly slumped down to the canvas after receiving that bomb. After that it was a matter of time.

Castano was well and truly done at that point, Charlo could have got him in earlier rounds when he rocked and wobbled him, but he was patient and got Castano to the point where there was no coming back from it.
Charlo really fought intelligently and followed through on the suggestions Spence was talking about earlier.

It wasn't PPV in America either, which is nuts because look at what they're charging for in two weeks.

I don't get the logic, this was a guaranteed action fight for an undisputed title with an OK undercard. Tank vs Romero is a fight people want only if they happen to follow boxing closely enough to know that undistinguished prospect Rolly Romero really deserves a beating.

I reached that conclusion a while ago and I cringe when I remember what I thought about the 147s as recently as 2019.

154 is kind of like 168 between Andre Ward and Canelo, a place for fighters who can't compete at a glamor division but are entertainingly violent. It's been a fun stretch.

If we're talking about single best recent result (which I don't think is a good standard, but for the sake of discussion), I'd say Bivol and Usyk have better claims. Castaño wouldn't be much of a win for anyone besides a prospect except that a lot of people think he beat Jermell Charlo last year.

It was an exciting fight and Jermell made the adjustments he needed to, but he should have made those adjustments in round four of the last fight and saved himself some grief.

Well fair play to Charlo.. but let's be honest Castano has only fought twice since 2019 and doesn't exactly have much on his resume other than a draw with an old Lara who was coming off a loss and who had only fought once in 16 months himself..

& even then he needed two fights to do it convincingly AGAIN.. Harrison fights.. because Castano arguably beat him first time..

And let's be honest 154 is full of weight grifters like Charlo who are ****ing huge for the weight but probably can't cut it at MW and super middleweight so drain down to convince the gullible fans they are P4P material by beating up on smaller fighters mostly
