Right, you were way off topic. The discussion is how Vitali does against Foreman's opponents, not a thread where you can go on your usual tirades bashing Foreman.

If Vitali went 0-2 against Byrd and a fat old Lewis with a horrible gas tank, I do not have a lot of confidence that he could beat Ali.

He wasn't "injured" against Lewis, he was legitimately stopped on cuts for having poor defense. And Vitali would never in a million years be up on the scorecards against Ali.

He’s required to beat Jimmy Young in order to exceed Foreman, not Ali, who he still might beat.

Vitali was dominating Byrd and ahead vs Lewis before cut.

    Ali would be pressed hard.

Vitali wasn't "Dominating" Byrd I think that's a bit of a myth. I thought Byrd fought a competitive fight with Vitali, and certainly won his fair share of rounds. Vitali was ahead on points, but Byrd was making it competitive throughout.

And Lewis was only down 4-2, and Lewis was getting back into the fight and was starting to hit Vitali with damaging punches. Especially the eye catching uppercut in the 6th which almost took Vitali's head off.

I like Vitali alot more than his brother, but the two best opponents he fought he lost to, and even though Vitali certainly is capable of doing well H2H in fantasy match ups. For me it's not really evident from his actual wins, when there is really no standout wins over a really good Heavyweight. It's more on the fact of his losing effort vs Lewis and his size and attributes.

@Glass City Cobra is well aware of this but chooses emotion to guide his logic

He would need to beat both to exceed Foreman since Foreman lost to both. And we have plenty of reason to think he might lose to both. He certainly isn't beating Ali lol.
There wasn't any emotion required, just common sense. A 74 Ali is vastly superior to a fat old 03 Lewis with a crappy gas tank, and yet Vitali was stopped by said crappy version of Lewis. It doesn't matter if you're ahead on the scorecards when you get knocked out or stopped.

I'll be sure to use less emojis so that your feelings aren't hurt and you actually reply with something that contributes to the discussion at hand next time.
