Really talented but I'm not holding my breath that he'll be a future world champion, seems more into fame than boxing legacy.
Agree, not particularly likeable esp with his Brummie twang. I watched his final back against the Cuban and he literally gave up on the last round and then acted like he had been robbed afterwards even though he was clearly behind on points.
Yep. Seems like he's just there for the 'Gram likes and the possy you get when you're a half decent looking boxer. Just wasting time really.
Hearn described their deal he for from the sky as mind blowing. Good luck to the kid if his managed to secure his future without even stepping in the pro ring yet.
Likewise with Fraser Clarke. I heard bens deal will essentially make him a multi millionaire by the time he’s had 10 fights. They paid him a £200k signing bonus and the same with Fraser which is why Hearn said he doesn’t know where the money is coming from because boxxer don’t have access to the half a million they have laid out upfront. Which I think was the underhanded comment about the possibility Kinahan has helped fund boxxer.
The Fraser deal is an odd one for me. Do they really believe he can go on to become a huge star? I can see why they went so big with whittaker as he will defiently please some and there will be many who don't like his persona and will watch him hoping to see him lose. If sky build him correctly and basically let him do what he does he will become a polarised figure and one that really has a love/hate relationship with the public.
Comes across like a tit He'll definitely be marmite and that'll usually sell which is part of what SKY and BOXXER will see........ people will tune in because they like the brashness or people will tune in to see him banged out. Either way it sells.
Why on earth would you do that when people are struggling right now and you haven't done jack in the pros yet.
Shows you the guys priorities. I'm calling it now that as soon as he gets a gut check in the ring he folds. He's already minted and will have options, he won't need boxing the way many contenders do
Don't want to sound picky here Trafford but..£100k x 10 fights + £200k = 1,200,000. That doesn't make you a multi millionaire
