Forgotten Fighters

Elijah Tillery. A cruiser who moved up to heavy. Riddick Bowe was his most well known opponent. In some pics you may notice a facial resemblance to Muhammad Ali.

 

Tarvis and Travis Simms. Both were good American ams. Travis had a WBA belt at one point. Tarvis was a contender. Neither realised their potential due to promotional issues.

You'd think the Charlo brothers would be compared to them, same size and nationality, but I haven't seen it happen a single time.

 

Marlon Starling or Lloyd Honeyghan. Those top welterweights in the 1980s were pretty good.. An underrated time with Donald Curry at the top... I remember how exciting it was to think of Donald at welt. and Tommy and Mike McCallum at 154, and Marvin at 160.. So many great fighters and matchups..

 

Two British fighters who never get a mention on here are Andy Till and Wally Swift Jr they had a couple of great scraps against each other.A lot more of there fights are well worth a viewing

Just got around to watching Alfredo Marcano and I'm impressed with what I see from him. Very fun and smooth style and a two fisted attack. His fight against Kobayashi is worth a watch. He doesn't seem to be mentioned enough.
