I think his just trying to get himself over. It's like a gimmick for a pro wrestler. It's the kind of thing which will get plenty disliking him but that's ok if they still watch him.
Apologies I should have said. At 10 fights he then negotiates another deal. Given he will not be risked in those 10 fights he will be 10-0. And boxxer will have to up his deal. The next deal then makes him a multimillionaire
This talk is what we would expect of someone who was a truly elite amateur with not much to learn in the pro’s - I don’t think he’s quite there yet.
True. I guess even with £1.2 mil if he uses that money correctly he can accumulate wealth which will set him up. Buying some property and some smart safe investments should see him be comfortable rather than a liquid cash multi millionaire.
Don’t want to see him wrapped in cotton wool. Let him off the leash from the start and let’s see what he can do. Straight into eight rounders I reckon, matched hard from the off. He is more than capable. I know pros need to learn the game, but, feeding them record padders is boring the fans to tears, and not doing the boxer any good either. If there good enough, they will pass all the tests from the off, regardless.
Whittaker is actually good and can beat opponents at a much higher level. They are paying him £100,000 a fight against rubbish so far. It's a shame for them as Whittaker is the most marketable out of all the olympians.
Wouldn't go that far but seems a bit up himself and not as good as he thinks. I doing think Sugar is either.
