All boxer's careers have elements of being manufactured. Mayweather took the biscuit in this regard. Clearly very skilled, but he took the right fights at the right time and on his terms. That isn't what makes someone champion material let alone "TBE"

Like I always say if pac had pbfs record and career 50-0-0 and pbf had pacs record and career 62-8-2 no one would rank pbf as greater than pac.:deal: Those are facts. Pbf is hated and pac is more well liked so people will automatically rate him as greater because they absolutely hated pbf don't want to give him any credit and want to stick it to him because they never saw him ktfo 3x and dominated like pac was. It's that simple. Pbf is better and greater than pac. Pbf is the best fighter of the era not pac.

Broner was 4 division champion, Felix Sturm was 5 time world champion. Its much easier to become world champion when we now have so many belts on the line

Both accomplishments pale in comparison to what Sonny Liston did to Floyd Patterson. And subsequently what Muhammad Ali did to Sonny Liston.

There are so many caveats next to Floyd Mayweather's and Manny Pacquiao's achievements. I'm too tired to list them all right now but the two that are top of mind:

Floyd 50th win was against an MMA fighter making his boxing debut.

Manny's 8th division title was won at a catch weight. 154lb title fought at 150lb.

The number of "belts " a boxer can win now is meaningless. Does "Interim" belt count? "Franchise "? "Aztec"? "North American"? Might be a "Trans" belt someday.

This isn't like Henry Armstrong winning belts when there not only was only 1 belt per weight division but in fact less weight divisions.

Comparing a won/loss record to number of belts is an apples to oranges comparison.
    With all due respect, Rummy.

Floyd’s boxing record over 5 weight divisions is much more impressive. As the man himself says “God made nobody perfect except for his boxing record “.

Well Floyd was 5 division, no? Not all too shabby..
Plus I Manny's 8th division title at 154 is highly questionable, and nowhere near as legit as Floyd title at 154..
I probably give Manny a SLIGHT edge in strength of competition, but even that's debatable..
Mannny does have almost twice as many fights and most of them were big fights so I give him the edge there.
The 50-0 in an of itself doesn't really play in to my comparison if these two but they thankfully they do have a head2head in the books that Floyd dominated, despite all the excuses...
For me that's enough of a tie breaker to give the edge to Floyd

While you are right, it's also true with so many belts it's easier to hand pick opponents and go undefeated while winning titles, so 50-0 will very likely be beaten at some point in the not too distant future as long as the fighter is shrewd enough to retire at the right time.

We shouldn't really focus so much on how many titles that are won or how many fights a fighter goes undefeated and more on who they actually fought and in that regard I give the clear edge to Pacquiao.

Pac took more risks, and probably slightly more PEDs.
