I agree I think Beterbiev cracks that chin. Canelo''s team would need to see Artur slow down and show some weakness before they even entertain that. Beterbiev is a bad man.
In your world (caneloite) you see this as a "fair" fight?, GGG has had his day in the sunshine, time now to enjoy the fruits of his labour & sit in the shade as Benavidez gives Canelo the hiding he deserves
Exactly @ 40yrs GGG would give Benavidez a tough & competitive fight, I'd have to lean towards Benavidez just on age , reflexes & stamina alone. Skills go to GGG, power hard to say nowadays as GGG has slowed but anyone who gets in with him ,even now , will know they've been in a "Fight."Durabilty , GGG is a soild lump of granite but tiredness kills..... Benavidez would win in a even handed way through competent Judges , refs & no fake clauses etc...No Shame to GGG @ 40yrs imo...
Hagler and monzon beat actual GREAT fighters GGG hasn’t and didn’t, you say I bring up fights that aren’t close to getting made yet you ignore that they didn’t get made because of GGG. moving up or down in weight isn’t the end all be all if you’re beating good comp, but GGG hasn’t been beating good comp and when good comp in the surrounding divisions called him out he ducked out that’s factual. Look at Errol Spence he’s a career welter but wins over Garcia, Brook, Porter, Mikey are all high quality wins. Guys are on record trying to stall out EJ as well yet he has gone out to try to make fights like going over to the UK to snatch the title off of Brook when none of the other welters would. It’s always ways to make fights if you really want to fight and be great, like you try to discredit Canelo but he’s literally doing what Golovkin and his team said that GGG would do. GGG hasn’t moved up not because he couldn’t but because he refused to, he ain’t dominant no division he beat Jacobs in a 50/50 fight and really that’s it, he ain’t fought Charlo or Andrade before fighting Canelo you can’t tell me one notable opponent he faced and if you tell me he was ducked I’ll simply ask what has he realistically done to try and make a fight? Since facing Canelo he waiting until some weak ass guys picked up vacant belts to try and cherry pick a title. personally man I’m a tough critic I’ve seen a lot of great boxing and I’ve seen guys who were really ducked do what they had to do to show why ppl were scared of them. When GGg first was coming out I was a fan of his after the Stevenson KO his 154-68 comments and his quotes after the fight I felt he would be a breath of fresh air compared to the broners of the world but the dude ended up being a hypejob for the most part, but really talk the majority of boxing right now is hype jobs so I understand.
so again a guy who was fighting at 154 didn’t immediately move up to face a guy at 160, yet the guy at 160 has refused to move up or negotiate weight at all with anybody? Canelo is doing what GGG said he would do 154-168
dude I would have LOVED to see GGG KO Lara and at the time I thought he would, unfortunately GGG and his team didn’t think so and gave excuses like willie Monroe jr is the same as fighting Lara. The fact is all we got is fantasy about what you THINK he would do, but no action behind it I mean my guy Adrian Broner has a better resume than GGG and that’s embarrassing.
GGG has 22 title defenses 20 by KO, at 160 lbs. Canelo will never accomplish that at any weight. Now GGG'S going after Canelo's undisputed 168 lb titles. That would be a nice way to finish off his career.
GGG has 9 defenses in reality, and he lost to Canelo and lol bruh this man going for a payday just like everybody else he has avoided all the other 160 champs since facing Canelo and didn’t beat not one good fighter before facing Canelo. This man is piggy backing off Canelo name just like Charlo and Andrade be doing
Robberies allow you to make statements like that. GGG beat Canelo, and most say he is great. GGG destroyed the middleweight division. The fighters you say aren't notable are only notable on other champs records but not on GGG'S. Golovkin beat Murata, Derevyanchenko, Canelo twice, Jacobs, Brook, Lemieux, Monroe, Murray, Rubio, Geale who unified vs Sturm, Stevens, Macklin who was robbed vs Sturm and gave Martinez hell, Ishida, Rosado, Proksa, that covers a good part of them. Now he's coming for Canelo's 168 lb titles. Not bad only three of those guys made it the distance.
Except none of those guys are notable wins on anybody else’s resume either, and he got a draw then got beat tf up by Canelo. Out of the guys you mention you got Geale who got beaten worse by Cotto 2 fights later, and Jacobs who without the knockdown the fight was a draw and Jacobs got beat up easy by Canelo. That’s not impressive I would take him beating Lara at 160, over every single one of those fights listed outside of Canelo.
