Do you think Canelo vs GGG 3 will still be a competitive fight?

I would love to see GGG beating Canelo who could be in a mild psychological crisis, but it is still realistic to expect that GGG will be betrayed by his age...

Fair enough, we ll see in September whether it has affected him but given his young age I think he ll be fine

I usually don't root for specific fighters, but it would be awesome to see GGG give him a good whupping! The only reason for this is because Canelo's career is so OBVIOUSLY orchestrated. The sheer amount of controversies, in conjunction with his star status, is just too much to ignore (and I try to be as reasonable & fair minded as possible).

I truly believe that if this was the America of old, at a time when boxing was huge here, there would've been some sort of demand for action - maybe an investigation of some kind

GGG is going to get up for this and make it a fight.

I also think Canelo will get the stoppage (or GGG might), but a fight that doesn't go the distance can still be very competitive.

The number that came to mind for his chances is +400, it looks like bookmakers are putting it between +250 and +300. Assuming they want to make a profit it sounds like they see it the way I do (and for the record I said before the fight Bivol had a much better chance of winning than he was given).

I'll be pretty gutted if Golovkin takes a dive for a payday.

Hopefully GGG KO'S Canelo so we don't have to see Bivol beat him up again.

[QUOTE=" And if GGG gets beat by Canelo again then it's likely we see him retire as well. Both of their careers are on the line at this point IMO.[/QUOTE]

First, as Canelo has yet to beat GGG there is no "again".

Second, as GGG was naïve enough in the past to believe the judging would be fair I believe he'll be far more aggressive in his last and final fight with Canelo.

No doubt as a competitive athlete the judging from those first two fights left a very bad taste in GGG's mouth and I expect his power punch output will be much higher.

I wouldn't be surprised if GGG gets the win.

I think so. GGG has the heart of a warrior. He has not waited all this time to just lose easily..

What I would love to see is.. The fight go ahead & try as he may Canelo isn't hurting GGG but GGG is nailing Canelo around the 6th GGG nails Canelo & down he goes struggles up at 8 goes down again from a GGG left hook Gets to his feet JUST GGG with a smile on his face lands the coup de gras smashing Canelo down & out Justice has been done at LAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's what I think, for about 5 rounds it will be competitive, except on the scorecards of course. I think GGG has to apply constant pressure and make Canelo fight, not box as there's no way Golovkin takes a decision.

Nelo should finally best GGG legitimately but the combination of weight loss & a chip on his shoulder may have him more vulnerable and while 168 may slow ol'Golovkin a jiffy, timing can make up for that and it's time someone lands a solid, precise SMW blow on Clen.

This is a fight I'm more confidently predicting an excellent firefight than an outcome but most things point to Nelo by 8-4 type of decision, if weight cut goes right.

This is my take as well. GGG is not the same fighter he was in the previous two matchups while Canelo hasn't decline at all. Bivol undressed him but that was a style thing. GGG doesn't fight anything like Bivol.

I think GGG is smart enough and has shared the ring with Canelo to not get clipped but I think Alvarez finally bests his foe legitimately this time around, 8-4/9-3 type of decision.

Agreed, not just pressure but use his jab then try going for combinations & of course this time going to the body, as Canelo doesn't particularly have the greatest stamina, upping the pace can favour GGG but for how long is the question.

How long is the question, it's hard to see GGG keep up a fast paced pressure fight at 40. I'd guess maybe 8 rounds before his gas gauge starts nearing empty.
