Although way past his best I think GGG has it in him to still be a real problem on the night and possibly finish his career in style, I'd love nothing more in boxing right now than for him to right the scandalous wrongs of 5 years ago.

Not too interested in this, as just happening to advance Canelo's record against the name of GGG, without the danger. GGG is 40 and well past his best. I think he will get stopped for first time ever. I had him winning first fight v Canelo comfortable (8 rounds to 4 if u recall correctly). 2nd fight I had him winning by a whisker, think 1 round (but no argument if it went other way by a small margin).

Powers that be never gave GGG one win against Canelo, who avoided him for years. So even if it was prime GGG he would be shafted, so hard to get excited. Let alone this version of him.

How can anyone like this little ginger ****? It was so obvious what he was doing straight after the second fight. Come on Golovkin, beat him again.

Have said before don’t really wanna see this now as a big GGG fan. 40 and way past his best, won the first fight anyway second fight a toss up, worried he’ll get hit often and his iron chin just puts him in harms way longer. Hope I’m wrong

The first fight you always fight Canelo needed a minute here and there to get his wind back but that was never really an issue for GGG. But now at 40 in his last fight we saw a few times Golovkin having to back off and take a breather, his footwork is that much slower as well.

Canelo fought brilliantly at times in that 2nd fight his combination punching was fantastic but he couldn't keep it up....In the face of GGG ramming a jab in his face. This time as long as Canelos weight jumping hasn't cought up with him I think that kind of performance will be enough to stop GGG or give Alvarez a wide points decision. I'd love it if GGG could put a combination to together to put him over or stop Alvarez - I thought Bivol had an opportunity to increase the chance of a stoppage around 8 but he decided to ease off.

Do rate them higher than higher than BJS and Callum Smith at the time they fought Canelo? I don't, either on records or eye tests. Now if Charlo vs Benevidez fought 3ach other first then winner might then be deserve a fight but the fight would be a forgone conclusion against Canelo and I would surprised if of of thee three guys get a round of Canelo.

However fighting GGG (even this past his prime version), rematch Bivol or fighting Beterbiev would all provide much tougher tests.

I was in the camp that Bivol would provide Canelo a tough test and derserve to win but get robbed by the judges.

Been a big fan of Bivol for few years now and I was in minority prior to Canelo fight that thought Bivol would beat Beterbiev in a potential fight.

Bivol had a much more proven record (beating J.Smith,Pascal, Barrera, Chilemba and Richards) than Benevidez (best wins are against past it versions of Lemieux and Dirrell) Charlo (Derevyanchenko).

Whilst both BJS and C.Smith had more proven records against better opposition going into their fights with Canelo.

I think there much better quality opposition than Benevidez, Andrade and Charlo available for Canelo to fight eg GGG.

I don't think there's anyone who poses a decent challenge to Caenlo at 168 ( he's beaten the best in BJS and C.Smith). Canelo after GGG should look to fight LHW either Bivol rematch or Beterbiev and J.smith winner.

He is the unified champ at 168

    So the fights aren't pointless

If he is going to 175 then stay there
