Any chance GG devastates Canelo like Marquez did to Pac?

These series's have some similarities between them including a controversial draw, closely contested fights with neither man truly putting on the exclamation point, two fighters who've gone in opposite directions since their last meeting, one guy high atop the lofty p4p rankings, the other guy pushing 40 and considered past his shelf life...

I know none of their styles are at all similar, but do you see any scenario where old man Glovokin catches the younger man and gets him out of there in violent and abrupt fashion?

Also, isn't Glovokin Russian? How will this affect things? Most of the world will be hoping for him to lose , so if he doesn't and he knocks out Canelo could that create more support for Russia

of course he could do that to him. He has that sort of power, but it is unlikely.. I think Pac was more ahead of Marquez in skill than Canelo is over GGG. Pac was a little careless, and that food (foot) thing where their foots got tangled contributed to the knockout, similar to Curry against McCallum. Although I think Mike was headed to stop Donald, I don't think Marquez was going to beat Pacman.. I have been on a diet lately and I guess I wrote something unconsciously.

Bivol was Russian and I'm sure plenty rooted for him against Canelo.

As much as I admire JMM as a fighter, he was probably juiced vs Pacquiao which added to his power.

So unless GGG goes the JMM route and gets juiced to the gills, I don't see it happening. GGG isn't a one punch KO artist and Canelo's chin is rock solid.

It's possible, but Canelo never lunges in the way Manny did, he simply got nailed doing it. Gennady could KO Canelo if he ran into something as well but I put the chances fairly low, not as low as him getting a decision but ...10-1 ?

I doubt he one punch KO's Canelo, but I am expecting GGG to win convincingly in another war.

Was going to highlight the same points as you made, Marquez was doing the foot thing all night long & in the previous fight along with his constant low blows, seems to me Pac thought he had him due to Marquez buckling from the previous round & in his own words got over confident that & along with Marquez patience & poise got him the victory that night,

regardless GGG would have to employ a few different strategizes likely relying on himself as Jonathan Banks is hopeless in every which way.

Not without the help of Memo Heredia. And Marquez already had the stylistic advantage to begin with. He augmented it with a sophisticated doping program and voila.

Hearns against Barkley was the same as Pac.. They are having their way and they get a little arrogant. Hearns should have settled down in 1988 and he would have stopped Barkley the next round in 1988 and avoided the whole rematch thing. But then we might not have had that great Duran vs. Barkley fight, and Barkley would not have played as pivotal a role in some fights like Nunn, Been and Duran and then winning two titles in 2 months in 1992.. Hearns really added to his career, but Tommy's need to go for broke always hurt him.

Pac got caught "hopping in". A flaw that should've been taken advantage of years prior, and would've absolutely been taken advantage of from fighters prior to the year 2000 by ATG'S.
Canelo isn't near the fighter Pac is.
But he doesn't make the mistakes Pac makes either.
Doubtful Triple G. Would get those same opportunities from Canelo .

Other's did try, though Pac just had a great chin & was very fast along with being very unpredictable with how he would attack you after one move that's why it hadn't worked so well for many of his other opponents, as i remember seeing Pac getting hit in those spots when he was in the lower weights.

What weight is this fight @ because at 175lbs GGG could easily do it.
Canelo loses reflexes at 175 and GGG will be super strong and very capable @ 175

    168 I think its a real 50/50
160 and Canelo might stop GGG, GGG is like a walking corpse at 160

Not if he fights like he did in the second Canelo fight.
