Bear with me. I just rewatched Usyk VS Joshua and Wilder VS Fury 2 and 3. I don't think there's anything special about Anthony Joshua, but he was able to tag Usyk with some right hands as he did his stupid game plan of trying to outbox a master.

Now look at Wilder. The guy does everything wrong. He has reflexes, the reach advantage, the right hand that has an off switch even on partial impacts (Fury was downed by non-flush Wilder rights). He definitely would not even remotely be trying to outbox Usyk. His movement is unconventional because it's so bad and his hand placement is plainly terrible, but he has the reflexes and Usyk is hittable. That kind of weird awkwardness plus a long straight right hand bomb...

I am just floating this because we saw someone try to outbox Usyk and I don't think anyone really can. So **** it then, the lanky non-boxer with insane power might be able to win instead. We're not talking stiff dumb robot Joshua, not talking Chisora who is shorter than Usyk and can't throw a straight punch to save his life.

    I agree.

After Usyk beat Joshua, he said he just wants to fight Fury and Wilder. I hope that happens, actually.

Wilder's fought a lot of lefties. I think Wilder leaves Usyk on the deck like Hearns left Duran there.

But I believe Joshua will probably win the rematch, given the fact that he says he won't try to outbox Usyk this time and given what Usyk has been through these last few months.

We'll see, though. Interesting times ahead.

Usyk would just move to stay away from the right hand.
Wilder always has a chance but I have to favour the superior boxer.

Younger Usyk would easily UD. But by the time Usyk fights Wilder he'll be 37, he may be slower. Wilder will not challenge for anything beyond the WBC who clearly favour him. If he is to challenge for the undisputed he'll demand the fight be in America, and Usyk would be insane to agree to that.

So I don't think this will happen. Wilder will bear hug the WBC belt and stay comfortable in the US and probably beat someone like Ruiz for the WBC belt and his ego will be reinflated and he'll go back to thinking he'd KO prime Ali and Tyson easy.

I hope Usyk becomes undisputed and then fights someone like Joyce/Parker for the WBC belt, wins it, and then fights Fury for undisputed.

Plus there's always the chance AJ or Fury beat Usyk, you never know.

I think Usyk's team can come up with a strategy to take away Wilder's right. Once that is established, it's all about keeping Wilder turning and constantly picking up his feet. Further diminishing Wilders power. No power = Wilder being pummeled.

If he can hit Fury with the right hand he can certainly hit Usyk with the right hand.

Usyk the better boxer. Also has a better chin than Fury.
Its not impossible but I wouldnt put my money on a sure Hearns vs Duran scenario.

Usyk does not have a better chin than Fury and a good bodyshot would fold him in half

We will come back to this post if Usyk ever does fight Wilder and then we will know for a certainty who has the better chin .

Fury's chin has been tested at the highest of levels by arguably the hardest punching heavyweight of all time.

I’d have to see how Usyk looks in the Joshua rematch to assess how the war has affected him physically and mentally, and how Wilder looks in his comeback fight to assess if/how much permanent damage Fury did to him, to make a final judgment about a Wilder vs Usyk fight

At this point I would pick Usyk but a man like Deontay Wilder will always be a live underdog at worst.
