Who do you think was the better heavyweight boxer, Riddick Bowe`s best opponent or Michael Spinks?

Let me just say that Bowe would pump Spinks.

 

I really don't see how the answer can be anyone but evander holyfield and yes I think holy beats spinks

 

I’d like to have seen a sharp Spinks fight Evander. The one from the Holmes fights. Maybe the young cruiserweight Holyfield of 85-86 vs Micheal riding his upset win would’ve been a really cool fight just to see. I’m almost certain of the winner but none the less.

 

I think it could be a great, competitive fight if Spinks was motivated but I do think Evander is the stronger guy and that would make the difference.

 

I wonder if it was ever discussed. Imagine what the Tyson fans would’ve said for eons if Evander had lost.

The vast majority (including me) will say that Evander Holyfield is a better heavyweight than Michael Spinks.
Where Michael Spinks is and more than competitive Evander Holyfield is the lightweight category (Evander Holyfield started his career in the lightweight category).

Bowe was definitely at a huge weight disadvantage in that rematch. Hard to overcome almost 1800 pounds.

It's kinda a silly argument since they both have arguments to be the greatest of all time in their natural weight classes. Both great fighters. But yeah at heavyweight I think evander is too strong for spinks
