Gervonta Davis vs. Rolando Florencio Romero Moreno & Erislandy Lara vs. Gary O'Sullivan RBR.

At the time when Cruz was announced as the replacement for Romero in December, I did had a strong feeling that Cruz had the style and attributes to give Davis a lot of trouble and that turned out to be the case. Watching the fight, I also felt just as strongly that had Romero been in the ring that evening, Tank would have won going away even with a broken hand.

Now that Davis has had five months to heal up and recover, I think Tank will not only win going away, but will actually be able to force a stoppage whenever he feels the desire to do so. My gut feeling says he'll play with his food for a bit since Romero has annoyed him but I think around round 8 or so he'll be able to chew up Rolly and eventually swallow him whole.

I see this as a close fight. I see Tank proving the difference in levels.
I think Romero vs Ryan Garcia is a better fight.
Tank prolly stops him, prolly mid rounds.

I wouldnt be surprised at to see Romero pull it off... He is a big hooker and has the punch to test Tank.

 

Romero has faced one remotely world level operator. Marinez. And his power didn’t carry to that level. He probably didn’t even win the fight. I don’t care about his KOs over stiffs. A lot of guys have those. His footwork sucks. Davis is levels above what he’s faced and that crap footwork and shoddy fundamentals will show itself here.
