Cant think of a whole lot better than him for the decade as a whole. Extremely hard to beat. Never having even lost very clearly despite some top guys. Not the best resume unless you're including some draws/SD losses you had for him (Castano, Canelo, Williams). but he's more skilled than Rigo's overrated ass IMO.
Probably. If not top 10 then at least top 15. Him and Rigondeaux may be the greatest wastes of boxing talent since the fall of the Soviet Union. Up there with guys like Teofilo Stevenson, Felix Savon, Laszlo Papp, Mario Kindelan. It's a shame that Lara and Golovkin never got it on.
#15. Wladimir Klitschko #14. Juan Fransisco Estrada #13. Kazuto Ioka #12. Nonito Donaire #11. Canelo Alvarez #10. Naoya Inoue #09. Ivan Calderon #08. Guillermo Rigondeaux #07. Juan Manuel Marquez #06. Terence Crawford #05. Manny Pacquiao #04. Vasyl Lomachenko #03. Oleksandr Usyk #02. Roman Gonzalez #01. Floyd Mayweather Jr Sooooooo.... no
1) he wasn't robbed blind, he arguably should've gotten the better of an extremely close fight; 2) that wouldn't make him more skilled. Canelo has shown far more facets to his game across his career than Lara has. He's more skilled offensively and defensively. Lara has a better jab and better movement.
Canelo landed about 10 legit punches in that fight the rest of the time he hit fresh air, elbows and forearms. He won? Do me a favour.
Very Good fighter on his day but a little inconsistent, robbed blind against Williams and Canelo also thought he edged Castano but i thought he lost clearly to Hurd who's been exposed since and journeyman Molina.
Yes he is. And he's probably the most avoided fighter too. But he can be lazy. But skill 4 skill he's one of the best guys of the past decade for sure.
