That was my first thought, Bowe would get hit early with a combo and gets taken out. I have to admit though Devon and Toney F make some very valid points though that if Bowe survives early from the 5th round on it could get very interesting

Bowe is durable but Tyson takes it UD.

Honestly, after thinking about it, it could kind of go either way. Bowe was obviously better at close range and would be roughing Tyson up but Tyson would stun him in the mid rounds and that would be that unless the bell could save Riddick. In that instance Bowe would win a decision after weathering the storm

But 6/10 times i think Tyson wins. Bowe was durable but so was Tyson and the latter had much better defense. Tyson would get worked but he would catch Bowe with something huge and would probably finish him off

Tyson by stoppage for me. I'd even take 91 Mike over Bowe. Bowe has the single greater win, but Mike has about 10 wins better than Bowes next best opponent and I think that gets taken for granted.

Tyson by KO, Bowe had every attribute to beat Tyson bar the most important, good defence

Tough fight to call, I think.

    At their best:

    Both excelled at close quarters.
    Both carried power.
    Both were durable.

Tyson would hold the psychological edge to begin with.
If the fight went into the second-half, Bowe might begin the win the war of wills.

Tyson has to get the job done early, IMO. And, he could - being likely to get the better of the initial exchanges.

If Bowe survives the first half, he might turn it around, during the latter stanzas.

No easy pick here. Tyson wins early; Bowe could win late. I don't think it's going the distance.

I wouldn't bet on who stops who.

Yes. Outside of Holyfield, Bowe didn't beat anyone of significance...

Exactly that. I'd probably favour Bowe if he didn't get hit so much...

Good points. It's a 50/50 fight for sure. I just think that Bowe will get hit too much earlier on, that he wont be as effective as he usually was later on in the fight.

Bowe could win...................from the outside with a disciplined gameplan. But we all know he's gonna wanna fight on the inside and impose himself. He'll be left open, Tyson is quicker and if you're gonna play the inside game with Mike and try to trade as opposed to tying him up, you're gonna lose.

    Tyson UD

Tyson stoppage mid-rounds. Bowe's defense is the problem, as pointed out by many posters.

For sure - durable or no, several rounds of exchanges with peak Tyson is going to take its toll - even on Bowe.

Bowe has no defence he got hit plenty by a washed up Biggs, hit plenty by Holyfield, hit plenty by Hide, and somehow managed to avoid all the dangerous Heavyweight punchers of the 90s, outside of Hide who was a blown up Cruiserweight.

Bowe has a great fighting heart and can dig deep, but we have seen him hurt by much less dangerous punchers than Tyson. And for me Bowe's lack of head movement and defence, aswell as fighting on inside too much despite his height, would be his undoing against Mike Tyson.

Bowe lacks the clinching tactics and the outside game to beat Tyson.

I think Bowes lack of defense would be his downfall in this one. And Tyson had good defense to slip under Bowe's very good jab and straight right hand. Bowe's only hope is to back up Tyson in a straight line and use his considerable size advantage to weaken Mike. This is plausible but I see Bowe eating too much leather and weakening himself.

But that was a jaded Golota who froze up against Mike, just like he did against Lewis. Golota peaked against a weight drained Bowe.
