Why do some people try to claim Mike Tyson couldn't hang with today's "giants"?

It would be similar to the sauna story. Mike got a nose bleed and I finished his slug with Mike not claiming to have not remembered what happened

I mean if Andy Ruiz could do, I am sure Mike Tyson could do it too.....

He would be the biggest just like he was in the late 80s and very early 90s

You severely overestimate super heavyweights in todays era. Usyk and fat useless short trash Ruiz beat one of the so called "big skilled" men. Fury struggled with Cunningham and himself is ducking Usyk. And if Usyk were to become undisputed and beat Fury, you'd just say he's the best small man in history and still wouldn't give the past smaller skilled greats any more credibility.

You have the perception of super heavyweights as an unbeatable breed of men compared to the cruiserweights when history has shown otherwise.

I think Tyson’s biggest problem today would be that there’s no coaches around who can teach him as an effective style for his body-type and athletic qualities than the D’mato peekaboo. He’d do well but he wouldn’t be as good as he was back then.

We're using peak 1988 Mike Tyson in these hypothetical fantasy matchup scenarios.

Same style. Same destruction. Same everything.

I know what you're saying about people, man. I swear, people are the dumbest people I have ever seen in my life.

Wilder found his chin multiple times and he literally doesn't even know how to box

His best win and worst loss look atrocious on paper and he's remembered as one of the best ever. If that's not pumped up than what is?

Povetkin beat everybody he fought as an amateur and won the European, world and Olympic championship. He was definitely very skilled.

He could win 100 European championships it doesn't make a difference as a pro he was a career contender and couldn't get over the hump during the weakest era in the history of the division and his name doesn't belong anywhere near Mike Tyson in any regard whatsoever

A lot of these "tomato cans" were still successful in the Fury/Usyk era.

Usyk is the same size as Ali (who was quite big for his era), whereas Mike is 5 inches shorter than Usyk.

6'3" Usyk outboxing 6'6" Joshua tells us little about 5'10" Tyson.
