Not real keen on the way George has approached the press conferences. Giving up Haney for being a 'rat' in regards to Teo Lopez camp. Too much ****ing drama/carrying on. I know he's trying to put Haney off, but I had a few people approach me to talk about the fight today and tell me they weren't keen on the approach either. Without me prompting them. Won't make a difference come fight time.
No detailed breakdown necessary mate. Mr SEC blocked the Takeover..now George "Freddy" Kruegbosas will haunt the Dream. Haney made a mistake renewing his passport. George is going to shock him and kick him back to the States yelling: "THIS IS STRAYA!!!!" This content is protected
the casual sports fan will think he's too much up himself imo. not making it easy for them to fork out money to watch him fight another person they've never heard of. good to be super confident but when you've got the home ground already and your are relatively unknown you've got to be a little smart with your approach.
I to think Hanedawg will have some success early. I've said before his style doesn't suit George better than some others. But after more thought I don't feel he has the ring iq or mental toughness to push that stylistic advantage for 12 x 3 mins. George with the help of the crowd is going to have him losing focus and second guessing himself a lot earlier than he has in the past. I think it will be wider than many think. Even some who are predicting GKJ to win.
This has **** all to do with boxing. But I figured this would be the perfect thread to throw this out. Since it is Aussie related. Congrats and a huge THANK YOU, to Jai Hindley.... for saving the Giro D'Italia, from yet another monotonous by the numbers win, by the crooked automatons of Ineos, and actually making the last few days of the Giro exciting.
For a 5ft 8 kid from the flattest continent in the world to be climbing specialist who can match it with the best in the world it's an amazing feat.
It wasn't quite as satisfying as Cadel Evans win at Le Tour in 2011. I and my sister in particular were big fans of Evans and had been rooting for him, especially in the absence of Contador. While Carlos Sastre was an underrated work horse, and he was a well deserved winner, seeing Cadel lose it all in 2008 on L'Alpe D'Huez with a few days left was pretty devastating. So those few years of almost pulling it off, the pay off was extra sweet.
For those sitting ringside on Sunday make sure you bring some goggles or protective eye ware as some American glass is going to get shattered and shards are bound to go flying.
