The only ones who will be robbed are the fans expecting a competitive matchup. George is going to turn him into Keftedes.
I think you are too confident. I love an Aussie as mu h as the next guy but Kambosos SHOULD be outgunned here. Naturally he has the intangibles to win but he shouldnt.
* Kambosos Jr purse 3.5 M and Haney around 900 K with the 80 / 20 split. * Tszyu fight for title in Las Vegas either Oct / Nov either Charlo or vacated WBO Title. * Ben Hussain vs Wes Capper added to June 29. * Isaac Hardman vs Beau Hartas added to July 2. * Aust Boxing June https://www.revolutionise.com.au/boxing/view/online/&id=hp9rf2agbqwajssb
Dana Coolwell will face Lorenz Ladrada whose record is 11-2-1 on the Briedis v Opetaia card, over 8 rounds.
Sandman_ deduced it will probably be Liam Smith as the Russian no2 will be out of the picture for now.
I'm kind of hoping Charlo elects to vacate. Tim isn't ready for an experienced, long-serving world champ who has just unified all the belts to go Undisputed & who is coming off 22 rounds against the second best fighter in the division. Tim is probably ready for an ordinary, garden variety alphabet champ or top 10 contender like Liam Smith or Tony Harrison. That's what a shot at a vacant world title would give him. Then he can make a few defences of it against the likes of Harrison, Hurd & Castano. Do all that then he can start thinking about unification fights. It will be a car crash if he faces Charlo next up. Car crashes can be entertaining & spectacular though so maybe that's what we're in for.
Tszyu might be getting Charlo at the right time though. Charlo is now 32 has had several tough fights 2 with Castano and 2 with Harrison, even Rosario gave him some trouble. Also Charlo is tight at the weight. Tszyu is big and strong for 154 he hits hard and is getting better with each fight. Tszyu beating Charlo is not out of the question IMO. Gausha clocking Tszyu in the first round is probably the best thing to happen to him, he will know he needs to tighten up that defense.
Agree it's not out of the question Tim winning. I only give him a small (5%) chance though. That's a small window for him to climb through. If the fight was out here, he'd be about a 25% chance. Another fight under his belt probably adds 5 to 10% to his chances, depending on who it's against.
My gut tells me Charlo will vacate anyway he doesn't seem keen on the Tszyu fight. He is probably sick of making 154 and will move up. Tszyu will give Liam Smith a beat down, Smith likes to scarp and Tszyu will oblige him and likely punish him to the body and stop him.
I wouldn't be surprised if he does vacate. He's keen on moving up to Middleweight and Tim is a high risk - low reward fight for Charlo, even though I believe Charlo wins easy at this stage of their careers.
The good thing we will have an answer very soon. It won't drag on. I think Charlo will look at Tszyu and won't be concerned about anything he brings. Which I feel works in Tim Kazoo's favour securing a fight. But maybe his Team will look at the numbers and feel the Beanstalk or another US based fighter will sell better seeing as Tim doesn't have the Danny Santiago level profile yet over there.
Maybe Charlo will be impressed by the crowd at the Kambosos Haney fight this weekend and want a stadium fight with Tszyu over here.
