Teddy Atlas would make an excellent trainer for Joshua

Atlas would know he would be on big money if he was training AJ. I think he might not go full Teddy Atlas on AJ for fear of getting sacked and losing that money

Teddy Atlas is less about training and more about Teddy Atlas.
Perhaps if a boxer had everything together, they might still be able to win even with a distraction like Atlas
but with a delicate rebuild like Joshua Teddy would be the death knell.
Nothing short of a Stewart clone will fix Joshua for sure. Short of that he still has a punchers chance.

Teddy Atlas is the type of person to stick the knife into your back if you didnt follow his Oracle mystic bull**** philosophy plan.

I dont know Atlas could say all the fight things and Michael Moore could leave the corner against George Forman and do the exact opposite.

It takes a good trainer and a good fighter willing to listen to make it happen

Atlas also gave plenty of acting performances in fights where his guy was in control, think Bradley vs Rios. That fight was so one sided it made the fire men speech extra funny because it was so unnecessary

I read his book. He trained Donny Dalonde who then went on to fight Sugar Ray (after ditching Atlas) for a big pay day. Atlas then went to his apartment looking to kill him. AJ is the biggest pay day for any trainer in boxing. Are you G Man Boxing from YouTube?

I read his book not too long ago. What did you think of it overall?

I don't know who that is... Gary O'Donnell maybe?
But a Brit judging trio of TOC, IJL and MMD might do the trick.

I thought it was a great read it’s been out years I listened to the audio book recently. It’s sad how things went sour with Cus but I think a lot of what he learned from Cus helped him to go onto win a HW title with Moorer

Atlas is a decent pundit but a rubbish trainer.

Remember how he berated he poor ******* in the damn ring straight after a fight with the mics picking up everything, evaporating Grant's last bit of confidence.

He's not that good a pundit either. In or out of the ring, he's a self-promoting grand-stander.

I thought it was cool. He painted himself as a hothead at times. I like the part where he talks about pushing his friend around in a wheelchair, pretty endearing stuff.

Maybe it's his New York accent I don't know.
