That was what Larry Merchant used to say:

    “Theatre of the unexpected”

 You're lucky we Brits are not only the hardest punchers and the slickest most iron-jawed warriors in the world but we also have the best sense of humour too

Simms is an excellent trainer, no nonsense, no media hype stays away from interviews just gets on with it, what he did with Darren Barker, and John Ryder really stand out.

    Buzzing for Cordina.

I will readily admit that Benny Hill was the GOAT of comedy.

I agree, considering he's basically learned on the job and looked wild and unskilled in the beginning, he's made good progress. Still think a past-his-best Kell Brook would've beaten him up though.

Super Joe Calzaghe, before his hands went to mush, and his hand problems plagued him from his teens and nearly ended his career before it even began, stopped all but one of his opponents on route to winning his second and third ABA titles, both at different weights and both in his first year fighting at those weights, with only two of his opponents making it out of the 2nd round and his victims included 2 future world champions and a future European champion. Stoppages in amateur boxing are obviously much rarer than in the pros. Every Brit punches like a mule.

Yeah he might have. Sounds like they're finally planning on putting Benn in there with a real test next so we will find out soon

    For sure

Yes Juan Ryder is very slick and skillful too.

Cordina made a real statement winning in that fashion tonight

Watch Hearn bang on for weeks about Benn facing an Elite welterweight and then it be someone who's past it or coming up from 140.

Great shot. But what the hell was Ogawa doing with his left at his waist in range like that.
