Both got right hands. This could be a short night for either fighter. I'm only putting Knockout as an option for either , because come on... this one ain't going the distance....
I'd be seriously worried we'd see a repeat of Wilder-Liakhovich. Would be a brutal finish once Wilder lands his right.
Browned wanted this fight once. Wilder is much faster, especially now, so probably not a good idea. But Browne might last long enough to land a counter RH, who knows. Whyte rematch would give him a better chance.
Browne is crap against quick heavyweights, Wilder would just come out throwing and land probably straight away and fight would be over. Sensible rematch for me would be Paul Gallen, get that embarrassment off his record.
Deontay Wilder could do an "Oceania Five" like George Foreman's Toronto Five ... And knock out Lucas Browne, Justis Huni, Paul Gallen, Junior Fa AND Joseph Parker ... or whoever else they've got ... Alex Leapai, is he still around? ... and take care of the whole region in ONE NIGHT. Browne, Parker, Fa ... They're all bad. The idea that Joseph Parker struggled with Fa (Parker was booed at home when the decision was announced) before facing Chisora (and he got floored by Chisora so he had to fight him twice) is hilarious.
Good job for Browne, there is nothing better than when an old washed up fighter knocks out the younger favourite. Where does Fa go from here?
Wilder shows off the Olympic pedigree, boxing on his toes with a stiff jab (and showing off the level changes he hinted at in Fury 3). Meanwhile Browne reminds us that he is an elite athlete himself, bringing constant smart pressure. Some complain that Wilder is too negative, others see Browne failing to cut off the ring. It's a HW version of Canelo vs Lara where Wilder takes a close and controversial decision on the strength of a late KD (but was it a slip?). Generations of boxing fans enjoy rewatching this high level chess match almost as much as they enjoy arguing over the scores.
