Did Juan Manuel Márquez win the war with Manny Pacquiao

Of course he did given how it ended.
I think Pac won the first fight, second was a draw, marquez won the third and the fourth was ending in a ko either way.
Marquez edged it and won. Even if you can say he was roided like hell he always had Pacs number like Norton to Ali.
Those were great fights.

 

Idk man, Joshua got caught being overconfident against a last minute replacement. He then won 11 rounds in the rematch.

JMM vs Pacquiao, both guys knew how good they were, they didnt underestimate one another, the first 3 fights were very close and the final chapter ended the series conclusively.

PAC team made a mistake, they were up 2-0-1 after the 3rd fight, but they keep bringing Marquez up in weight thinking they can knock him out.
The 4th fight was never needed.

Basically Marquez chased Pac for rematch after rematch and team Pac foolishly agreed to it.
Now, after Marquez won the 4th fight, he never want to fight Pac again.. It is his right but to me it doesn’t seems fair given how many opportunity Pac awarded to him..

I cannot say he won the war because he wouldn’t give Manny a return after Manny rematch 3X.

It’s like when you are kids and you are playing a game with that douchebag you know who will quit/whine when they are losing and refuse to continue as soon as they win once. No one respects that.

 

He finally fought like the challenger in the 4th fight. Manny Steward said after the 3rd fight that Marquez only has himself to blame for the Pac losses. Because he didn't take the fight to Pac. Seems he took Stewards advice the 4th time around.
