Johansson was one of the worst Champs in history. He toasted Patterson in their first fight. Butterbean went 10 rounds against Holmes and knocked him down once. I doubt that Patterson could have done that.

No way, Burns would make him look foolish.

Holmes was 53 years old in that fight. Do you really doubt that Patterson could have gone 10 round with 53 years old Holmes? Have you even watched this fight? Holmes was horrible, yet looked like world champion next to Butterbean.

Ingo is another one that would destroy Butterbean by the way.

I've never seen him, so it's tough to say but I'll always take pro champion over a freak show.

Stop pretending that was prime Bean. Holmes waited until he was ripe.

I'd give Bean a great chance against Willard. He might just go out there and nail him.

I was wondering about Willard. Thanks for that!

He was basically Bart Gunn but in 1915.

Do you really think Butterbean is at all on Dempsey's level as a destructive puncher? Even Dempsey had to land tons of punches. And he was fighting a shot to bits and out of shapeWillard

Bean would be a nightmare with those tiny 1915 gloves.

Yes, he had a harder overhand right than Dempsey.

He would be a wide open target with those tiny gloves.

And no he didn't. There's a big difference between fighting Johnny Knoxville and fighting Carl Morris
