I do give Inoue much more credit this time around. In fact, I believe it was his career best performance. Last time he went life and death with an over the hill Donaire. I said hey, that's a bad look for a fighter billed as an ATG. This time around he destroyed him. So I give him credit for that performance. If Inoue is truly an ATG he needs to destroy a 39 year old Donaire. He did. So nothing else you can ask of him as far as this fight is concerned.
But Inoue is the real deal. Even if you just look at him from a technical point of view, he's clearly elite. It's not just his power that intoxicates, it's the ease by which he delivers it too. I think in terms of pure punch technique he's sitting at the top of the tree.
I'm a big fan of Kell Brook but would have to admit getting his orbital bone caved in by GGG diminished him as a fighter. We can't underestimate how ballsy Inoue was to get in the ring with the man who busted his... and then beat him up. Just went right at him. That impressed me as much as getting the win against Donaire the first time round while fighting with a broken face. Happened in round two I believe and he boxed 10 more in that condition. That's a very strong mentality. He's a special fighter but yes, needs more names on the resume to be truly celebrated in the way I think his talent deserves...
Ring IQ - A Power - A+ Speed - A- Footwork - A Chin - A Punch Technique - A+ Punch Selection - A+ Finishing - A Fighting Inoue sucks.
