Why are Chisora and Matchroom making this fight? - Pulev is conservative and isn’t a big puncher - Pulev may be more susceptible to a big overhand now considering his age and wear - They can sell a rematch to the casuals more easily as the first fight was a “SD”, with few remembering the one-sided nature of the 2016 bout - Pulev is a 2x world title challenger who has fought five British fighters, so he's fairly well known and a more lucrative opponent than many - It doesn’t look as bad for Matchroom if an AJ victim beats a different Matchroom fighter or vice versa - Most other heavyweights are unavailable for one reason or another - It’s consistent with Chisora’s reputation of being a warrior - If Chisora loses to Pulev again it's what's expected and it’s to a man he’s already lost to so it doesn’t increase his number of unique losses - It’s a chance at revenge and to ameliorate Chisora’s dire record in rematches - If Chisora was to win it would be fairly big as Pulev is highly ranked, leading to yet another PPV headliner
Could be a fun fight. Id have thought the loser would retire but I feel like Chisora will fight until be lioterally cant get in the ring anymore.
Based on their latest performances I'd pick Chisora by mid round KO. He gave Usyk trouble, and almost beat Parker. Chisora is still a pretty dangerous fight for a lot of heavyweights, all it takes is for one of those overhands to land.
Chisora gave Usyk trouble 20 months and three 12 round beatings ago and Parker lost to Dillian Whyte. Many were picking short brawler Forrest to beat the inactive 41 year old Pulev but Pulev schooled and battered him, looking far better in the process than Hunter, Zhang and Takam.
It's getting alot of stick but I think this will be fairly entertaining. A possible last hoorah for both fighters. I'm going KO for Chisora.
That's not really a headline fight for the o2. Maybe co headliner. Hearn will need a good undercaed for this. They fought once already in a boring clinch fest. Their styles don't gel
Pulev Fury Whyte Parker Butlin Sexton Whos the last one? I'm a big fan of Chisora so should know this but I'm stumped lol
You've actually done really well there. I knew I should've gone for more than seven but I wanted to make the lie believable. I thought he'd only had about four rematches but I forgot he fought Sexton twice and I wasn't aware he'd done so with Butlin too. So you've got them all lol
After watching Pulev's last fight I agree, not because Chisora's all that any longer but somebody's gotta win. This will be like watching two mules in a horse race, you'll just want it to be over
Seems an unfair assessment. What about Chisora makes him a hoe? The repeatedly proven fortitude to shake off legitimate defeats, poor decisions and rare KO losses and keep coming again, even making improvements in the later stages of his career? Granted, I'd agree that the well is finally looking dry and that it's around the time he should consider calling it a day, but "hoe" is the last word I'd think of to describe Chisora. He's been a valiant servant to the sport. A hoe doesn't abide and keep fighting through the whooping Parker dealt him last time out. Pulev has shown a solid fighting character over the years, too.
Would a referee who doenst allow much holding help chisora? Im pretty sure more cards are now in chisoras favour as this is in the uk this time.
