    Pound for pound?
    Which do you have?
    Both great Lefties of course.
Whitaker showing more dominace at certain weights, whilst Pac Man went the higher up successfully.

And maybe a head to head battle at Lightweight or welter?

PFP I voted for Manny since he came up from a much lower weight. Head to head, however, I pick Pernell to outbox him for a decision win.

I disagree. Pea went up weight as well and actually fought alot more impressive boxers.
He fought Pineda at jr.welter who was a good puncher.
Oscar at 147 along with Buddy who was a vert accomplished champion. Fought Chavez as well.

Went up and beat Vasquez at 54 the same Vasquez who beat Winky.
    And Pea was only 5'6.

Pea had alot more dominate wins against better fighters.
I'm not sure Manny beats Buddy at 47 and I know he wouldn't beat Vasquez at 54.

Not sure what is being asked. Whitaker might have been better at 135 than Manny ever was at 126-140.

But Manny’s resume is head and shoulders above Whitaker and Whitaker shouldn’t even be spoken of next to Manny in terms of resume.

It's two questions if you like.
The one above you just answered,
Who s the better over all pound for pound.
    Resume wise then it's Manny.
And then head to head at those weights I mentioned in the op.

    No you misread me, Cobra.
I meant to say the weights Whitaker landed at, he hung around a little longer and proved top dog more or less.
Where as Manny picked up the more titles in different weights.
Your spot on what u say in your post tho.

If they were both at their best, I’d expect Whitaker to win. His window was a lot smaller than Manny’s though, so Manny might win if they shared an era and Whitaker was 30+

Whitaker, it would be a battle vs Pacquiao, but Pernell could do it.

Manny is the greater fighter but would lose head to head

Could see that. Think careers were almost the same- Pea won titles all the way up to jr.middle.
Think the major difference is Pea never enjoyed the popularity that Manny was able to have.
The crazy thing is that Pea never lost in his prime unless you want to count the Rameriz fight which was a pretty bad decision.

PacMan didn't do too well against Mayweather who was known as a great defensive fighter. So if Floyd gave him trouble, Whitaker would run circles around him.
