Name all these slick boxers he avoided and totally wasn't the other way around when fighters were tripping over themselves to duck Inoue? Go on, I'll wait.
Fulton would expose Inoue based on what exactly? Inoue’s hype is warranted and he’s considered one of the best for good reason. I can ask the same thing about why Fulton hasn’t fought a slick boxer yet.
Inoue is excellent at cutting off the ring, the pressure he can bring is suffocating, his punch placement is too precise, his understanding of and control of range is immaculate his power is devastating. Feed Fulton to Donaire, let The Filipino Flash go out on a win. But if you all must insist, Naoya polishes him off in 6.
I don't understand why people think Inoue is suddenly going to come unstuck vs a slick boxer. It's extremely insulting to Inoue, what he's achieved and the skills and talent he possesses. Actually watch his fights, observe the speed, the timing, precision, the shot variety and selection, the murderous power in every shot he throws with both hands upstairs and downstairs, and the skills both offensive and defensive This content is protected This content is protected Inoue strikes like a cobra and even a slick boxer is going to be punished immediately for any mistake they make with fast pinpoint accurate devastatingly powerful shots just like everyone else who has shared a ring with Inoue has been. Unless people are banking on one of these slick boxers running, holding and pot-shotting Inoue all night (not saying that's what Fulton will do) which for some strange reason many regard as the pinnacle of slickness and skilful boxing. It's not. It's cowardly, unmanly and boring as hell to watch and true slicksters do not have to resort to such unmanly cheap tactics to avoid getting hit and outskill their opponent. But even then it will be extremely hard to survive for 12 rounds trying to get away with that crap against Inoue. Watching Inoue spar is better than watching most other fighter's fights. He displays delicious skills and savage power with big gloves and head gear on too This content is protected This content is protected
It's funny to me how some people are still thinking that Inoue is just some one dimensional puncher with little skills. Inoue has shown time after time again his elite level boxing skills to go with his power. He isn't some wreckless fighter trying to force a KO, he systematically breaks you down. He's a very skilled operator who would also be very hard to outbox.
It's a recurring theme with many fans. Look at how long it took many to notice/appreciate the skill level/boxing ability of Kovalev, GGG and they're doing the same with Inoue and even Beterbiev who whilst no Loma is not the crude unskilled caveman they try and paint him as. I even had to explain to people that Bivol is one of the best defensive fighters in the sport and rarely gets hit clean. But it was all about Clenelo's defence
To me I think it has more to do with people always associating big punchers with high KO % to unskilled brawlers with little ring IQ. People always find something to pick apart a fighters style just because they don't use a shoulder roll or show slick defense. Beterbiev's skills go largely unnoticed just because of his brute come forward style when he's actually a thinking fighter.
Naoya "Monster" Inoue Power: A+ Speed: A Timing: A+ Ring IQ: A Ring Cutting: A Punch Selection: A+ Chin: A Heart: A Scouting Report: Fighting Inoue sucks worse than being hosed down with AIDS-infused semen.
That's a big part of it for sure. But Bivol isn't a big puncher like those guys are. Many have been guilty of simultaneously underestimating both Bivol's skill level and power. When it comes to opponent's total punch connect percentage he's #1 in the sport, and #2 when it comes to opponent lowest power punch connect percentage and he's also #1 for highest jab connect percentage and #2 for average jab percentage per round but nobody ever mentioned his name when it came to discussions about the best defensive boxers in the sport. Why on earth is Inoue's skill level so criminally underrated when it's obvious he's very skilful just from watching him fight?
Everyone asking why Inoue is underrated while praising him to death. Fulton is the underrated fighter here folks. Fans have NO chill after a boxer fights. Very hyperbolic thread.
Exactly. Also fulton just beat 2 very good fighters in Figueroa and roman, with the roman fight being an absolute domination
Not understanding Fulton. I've already said I think he's a very good boxer. But I just think Inoue is a very special one.
