Inoue has pretty decent wins. Taguchi, Narvaez, Rodriguez, Donaire. But he's still lacking the truly huge win, so I wouldn't have him at P4P #1 unless he goes up and dominates Fulton or Akhmadaliev. Obviously you do have to give him credit in that he's dominating guys not bribing judges like certain other P4P stars

Nonito rematch was an absolutely massive win especially since Inoue brutally destroyed him in 2 rounds.

Until Usyk returns and beats AJ, Inoue deserves top spot. You can’t give it to Haney, a weight bully who beat a guy with one legit win as a pro, or Crawford or Spence because they shouldn’t get it until they fight the top guy at their weight (each other). He’s earned top spot for now.

When Usyk beats AJ, he can return to his rightful place atop the PFP rankings. Huge gap between him and second place as he’s beating much bigger guys. Not an easy thing to do, ask Canelo who couldn’t beat a guy one division north of his natural weight class.

Inoue's going to become undisputed at 118 and then undisputed at 122 by the end of 2023 depending on if he takes an easy touch to test the waters and/or Fulton/MJ ducks him.

I don't really rate the Donaire win as good as everyone else does, Donaire is 39 years old and has seen better days. Maybe if it was against the Donaire that was one of the best P4P fighters a decade ago, when he had highlight reel KO's over Montiel, Darchinyan. But i think people forget Donaire has already lost convincingly to Walters, Rigondeaux, Magdaleno, Frampton, that's 4 convincing losses before Inoue beat him.

I love Inoue as a fighter but for me, he still hasn't really got many single stand out wins, he's beat plenty of decent/good fighters. I guess the manner in which he has been beaten them has to be taken into account. But i still would like to see Inoue beat an elite top fighter that's not 39 years old.

Inoue destroyed Rodriguez in 2 rounds as well I rate that win higher than Donaire 2. (Yes Rodriguez "lost" to Gaballo but nobody who watched that fight could score it as anything but a dominant Rodriguez victory)

Rodriguez is still only 29 and he's been really unlucky with that robbery against Gaballo and the NC against Russell. To me he's at least the 3rd best fighter in the division, and as long as his head is still in it I expect him to be champion again.

Though to be fair to Inoue, people often talk like Inoue's resume is dog**** and Loma's resume is great. Are the two really that different? Loma's best wins are probably GRJ, Linares, and Martinez. That really better than Donaire, Rodriguez, and Taguchi?

Inoue clearly has a better resume as of now. Inoue is 9-0 vs champions. I don't see Loma outdoing him in resume ever. But yeah, people basically act as if champs below 130 are bums because they don't watch them. If they watched a fight like Akhmadaliev vs Roman, they'd know there are many very skilled, athletic, elite fighters in the smaller weight classes.

Fulton might be able to run and squeak out a decision against Nonito... But Nonito would absolutely destroy MJ.

Nonito = brutal punching ATG and the clear #2 guy > Fulton/MJ.

Getting moved to p4p number 1 after beating a guy you already beat 3 years ago who's also 39 makes little sense. Inoue deserves a place as one of the best fighters in the sport but his resume isn't great to be number 1. He's only moved up 10 pounds and was already big at those lower weights.

Rodriguez couldn't knock out glass chin Gaballo and eeked out a close win verse Jason Boloney. Rodriguez is probably a weak champ like Quabali. This division quality is questionable because a 39 year old can waltz in and just grab it with ease with just a left hook and become the oldest boxing champion of all time/.As it stand his best wins is 41 year old Narvez and 39 year old Donaire. Because they were great has been champions.

36* year old Donaire. He also beat Taguchi who would then win a world title and then unify world titles to become the clear #1, meaning Inoue beat two 108 #1s in his first six fights.

Inoue beat him at 36, and he had a title fight KO before that fight and two title fight KOs after that point. Still very clearly a sharp above average title level fighter.
