I agree the way he never took him out at that point was poor, but work in progress with Lee. Agree Hearn saying that was outrageous.

I find his fights quite boring. He needs to let his hands go abit more. Parker has a great chin though.

He just looks like a a blown up shaven Care Bear and he often fights like one. He's been around for years now, despite being a former World champion it doesn't feel like he's ever really done anything other than lose to Joshua and Whyte and spar with Tyson Fury.

To be fair, Parker has a decent record with wins over Chisora, Hughie, Takam and Andy Ruiz - could have gone either was vs Whyte too if he wasn’t dropped with a headbutt that was counted as a knockdown.

I do rate Parker, think he is the quintessential top 10 contender that’s not going to trouble the top 5 too much (he’ll give them a tricky night but wont win) but should beat most of the rest of the division.

If I’m completely honest, pulling out of the Joyce fight has completely underlined his lack of desire in recent years to take a meaningful 50/50 fight. His punch power was overrated due to all those NZ sports centre wins early on and as soon as he stepped up to the next level it’s looked average. Seemingly a really nice guy but lacks any real dog in him and now seems content to not challenge for anything and lick Tyson’s balls as cheerleader.

Did anyone see Johnny Nelsons article about him on Sky?

Needs to take his nose out of Boxerr ring piece. One of the most delusional articles I’ve read in a long time.

If only Lucas Browne was welterweight.
Would be the ideal opponent for Conor Benn

I have also heard that rumor. The fight will be on normal Sky Sports and it is probably an ideal opponent for a fight which is intended as a showcase for Parker on Sky Sports.

I wondered why they made a fuss of that KO the other week. Parker will annihilate him.

4 years next month since Parker fought Whyte and his opponents since have been Alex Flores, Alex Leapai, Shawndell Winters, Junior Fa, Chisora and now Lucas Browne (TBC). That’s one long winded rebuild.

A showcase? Fella has fought like 3 PPVS for them.

he needs to be in with a credible opponent. Why not Bakole or Wallin?

Far out lol. Funny thing is, is that it would be an easier sell to the audience down here after what Browne did to Fa, despite it being 1 big mismatch.

That's right but the first fight for Boxxer/Sky will be against an easy opponent.

Wallin must have the greatest loss of any fighter in the modern age. He went from tune-up to world beater.

We'll put aside that Fury likely cut too much weight to get below 255lbs and Ben Davison lost his job in the aftermath.

It's just funny how an underperformance has been turned into a resume boosting fight against a top prospect.

Saying that, Wallin deserved the win on a cuts stoppage, but him being a tune up opponent, they clearly didn't want to derail Wilder v Fury 2. They did Ortiz a bit dirty too. Money is all powerful I guess.
