Corruption is a serious issue in boxing, so how do we fix it? Do we launch a sport-wide investigation?

Niche sport with not enough interest/coverage.

No unified sanctioning body as everyone is out to get theirs.

Promotors don't want to risk their investments, so they'll protect their guy until they can't anymore (see Tank).

There's no league with the exception of a few tournaments, fighters can fight as often or as infrequently as they like, so oversight of the sport is impossible.

Basically, corruption will always run boxing.

By removing all the corrupt people.

    Which would leave no one.

Boxing is a hustler's game. Everyone is in it for themselves.

It's a tricky one as the solution would have to come from within. which is an issue as the seperate Org's all want to keep their piece of the pie and the status quo. Otherwise the only other way of breaking that deadlock would be a class action by the boxers against the various organisations with a view to establish a single authority. As with most of these things moving something forward requires political will and someone or group to drive this forward which as it stands is unlikely.
Also I disagree with a few above claiming it's too niche. frankly that's nonsense and we only need to see the top earners to see that isn't true at all yes it's fragmented. it needs an overall authority that can arrange tournaments where belt holders and top contenders have to fight rather than this protect the 0 nonsense that's become the norm in the last decade or two.

association of boxing comissions works with the athletic commissions of other big markets to come up with a unified way of ranking and keeping order

Without a central commission or any sort of oversight, never gonna happen. It's like asking the foxes to eat less chickens in the henhouse. The ABC only stand to lose money with any type of regulatory commission.

Corruption in boxing has always been a part of the sport. As long as there's money involved nothing in the sport will ever be perfect, including the politics. That's just the reality unfortunately.

For a start: ditch all the Panamanian-registered Alphabet-soup federations.

As a fighter you have to knock the other fighter out, that’s the only way to not get screwed over.
