    Dude seriously?

    I resent that!

    That's so insulting! I can't believe you!

    You forgot to add pre-gunshot.

I see him more as being an arch overachiever.

Give him David Tua's mindset, and does he get very far, with what he has got?

Good lil plugger. A heartwarming story about the little engine that could. Inspiration for this classic film.

    Huge power

More of a volume puncher. Good power for guys the size of modern day light heavies, nothing spectacular for modern men over 220+. His best opponents were often shopworn and/or well past their physical prime, but his sheer number of KOs and stoppages are impressive.

    endless stamina

Very impressive stamina, top 10 in the divisions history and one of the best in boxing in general.

    granite chin

He had a granite chin for sure, but it's a complete mystery how he'd fare against serious modern sized punchers. I have my doubts. Some guys would land a single big shot and then back off or cover up not following up with much.

    great defence

Not by a long shot. He got tagged a lot and ended several fights with welts, black eyes, cuts, etc. Left himself wide open at times and the opponent simply couldn't or wouldn't pull the trigger.

    genius ring iq

In what universe? He had a few neat tricks like dipping low to evade the jab and draw guys in, sneaky head movement up close, but for the most part he fought with sheer savagery and pressure. He is not even the smartest HW.

    great timing

He was a good finisher and had good timing once his man was hurt, but otherwise he could be very sloppy and crude throwing comical baseballs pitch swings or wild hooks.

    excellent hand speed

    Average at best.

    freakish recovery powers

Yes, he did have freakish recovery and determination.

The shots he ate from Walcott off the counter were wicked. The fact he stood up after that first round knockdown in the first encounter of the two is a testament to his recovery. Being floored fresh in the first round is not ever a great start. For Marciano to weather the storm, and land the KO in the 13th is the epitome of determined.

Absolutely. Top 10 determination in boxing history arguably. Rocky would rather die than quit.
