How would a prime Danny Garcia and Josh Taylor fight play out at 140 ?

    It's an interesting hypothetical bout

I got Danny 7-5. Taylor would probably get dropped so 115-112. Taylor would be a sucker for those hooks.

Taylor doesn't have an issue with left hooks, whereas Danny does with southpaws. Taylor is a lot taller and can box on the back-foot, and Danny can't lead well. He'd have to here and would get countered. Taylor can get careless and walk into something, but I don't think he'd sacrifice getting KOed over it.

    Taylor 116-112ish.

Danny at 140 was a problem. I actually think Danny takes this via decision.

Good matchup, I’d go with Taylor by decision in an interesting fight

Thats why I believe Danny would win. Taylor would get frustrated with his lack of activity and carelessly walk into counter hooks. Would be a good fight.

Danny was a hard man to beat at 140. He had knock out power and a class A chin. Also, he didn't mind engaging in close. I think that he would have stopped Taylor.

And Taylor can fight on the inside and completely smoother Danny's counters and do work to the body and head

Taylor wins this on the inside - folks reading way too much into his poor show against Catterall (and likely still underrating Catterall a lot - he's a sneaky customer who will go on too make many others look poor!).

Swift is a tough cookie, but his output is too low and he has consistently come up just that bit short against elite operators.

FWIW i'd take Prograis to beat Garcia as well.

Prime for Prime, yeah, I'd bet on the Taylor that beat Prograis and Ramirez to beat Garcia

Taylor's craft and activity will be too much for Garcia, and he would have outworked him to a UD win (prime for prime). Lest we not forget Mauricio Herrera arguably did enough to beat Garcia by virtue of a stiff jab and staying busy.
