100m annually for AJ that's ridiculous.. as an "advisor " for DAZN and as a share holder and as a fighter, AJ has left Sky sports.

Assuming DAZN will actually remain solvent and turn a profit

    That's CEO level money

I'm guessing Joshua invested a tonne of money as a shareholder and in reality it's there to keep DAZN afloat or to keep creditors at bay

Nobody cares about AJ anymore, he is finished when he gets slapped about by a middleweight yet again in Saudi, who would pay to see him?

A 6`3 middleweight? No middlewight in history would have stood a chance against prime Usyk.

AJ was probably given a percentage stake in the company as part of him deal instead of paying him a complete cash offer for a contract. Which means how much AJ makes is influenced by how well DAZN does. Aj now has an obligation to make fights that are in DAZNs best interest instead of just his own best interest. That 100m a year is probably just a projection based on what DAZNs shareholders expect DAZN to be worth in the future and is probably a higher projection than reality.

All this means is that AJ demanding a higher purse split off anybody is a clear duck.

Don't talk about legacy, and then say it's about making money, when he's now on a minimum of 100m a year WITHOUT fighting.

DAZN will be gone in a few years.

Get ready for a slew of crappy fight and PPV for anything decent. Almost pointless for the sub, since you still have to pay for the big ones.

It's a bold move but I think it might have a few issues.
Firstly I'm not convinced DAZN will even be a thing within a couple of years yes they clearly want a few high profile stars to bring the casuals in but that stock in AJ is only good if he get's through Usyk and get's those belts back. The public tends to be fickle with boxers and frankly Joshua doesn't really have the charisma or personality for people to root for him otherwise. I'm also not convinced by DAZN's business model with Hearn being weakened with some of his fighters losing the stock they have is looking a bit weak other than having Canelo for a few more fights who himself will be paid a great deal. Also it only works for DAZN if people actually fight. Yeah Canelo has been nice and active in the last few years but most of the heavies your lucky if they fight once a year. So I think this is a mistake in the long term.

Congratulations on securing generational wealth AJ. This secured several generations of the family. This proves again why AJ is the face of boxing. Don’t forget this is a long term deal. DAZN well on its way to becoming the Netflix of Sports.

Why do you sound bitter about him securing a ground breaking deal. Surely you don’t expect him to fight for nothing?
