I used to think Tank but I think he just talks like that, I don't think he is actually thick Spence comes across as very slow
To be clear, this is not a criticism of them. Just observations. I have a ton of respect for any guy who gets in the ring, especially those who can excel in the ring. They obviously have a high IQ when it comes to boxing but I'm just curious what the fan base take is. It looks like Tank is winning the prize.
This thread has turned into "which fighter has a southern/Baltimore accent." We should though. Just like universities used to require a swimming test to graduate, make them do three rounds to get that Nobel prize. Some people are just fighters. I want to say Porter had interest from colleges for other sports. It's long been interesting to me that a lot of the more educated fighters are brawlers while some of the masters of the smart defensive style can barely read.
Hughie Fury doesn't appear to be the sharpest tool in the box, certainly in comparison to his old man or cousin. Though maybe he's just not a confident talker. There's an element of performance in the way some boxers present themselves where they may play up to a stereotype. So I'm not sure if AB is as dumb as he acts. Rolly Romero seemed entertainingly stupid in the run up to the Tank fight, but maybe he was just putting on a persona to draw people into the fight. Still, I wouldn't be calling these guys thick to their faces so maybe that's enough aspersions cast by me from the safety of my keyboard. Maybe we should flip it and say who the cleverest guy is? Usyk I think would be a master at chess boxing.
