Can you think of a fighter that could give Joe Frazier hell? Somebody that potentially beats him or at least has him struggling.
But the fight is set to 20 rounds and takes place in Jack Dempsey s era.
    Same rules and gloves.

I love Smokin' Joe, but considering his size & that he fought a paucity of large, elite sluggers-& what Foreman did to him twice...
Many truly elite men in that mold would give him trouble.
Some would so some demblance of a Foreman on him.

Holmes, but I'm not sure at all Larry would win, especially against FOTC Frazier.

Larry had the kind of jab and uppercut that could bother Joe. They were each heavier than Ali's, and I believe he had more potential to stagger Joe than Ali did.

Joe didn't have Larry's kryptonite (the overhand right), but he did have a style that would flummox the hell out of him.

I see FOTC Frazier getting to Larry bad in the middle rounds and actually knocking him around pretty good, but I think both early and in the last rounds Larry would be a major problem, spinning Joe around a bit like Foreman did (I always wondered if Holmes knicked that technique from George). I still see Joe winning but by a tough majority decision.

Any other Frazier I believe gets the fight of his life and it goes either way for me.

I would favor Frazier too, you have it a bit closer than me, but we are not far off.
However when the size, punching & strength gap gets larger-like against Lewis, at leats the best fighters-they will tend to win.

How is the lifting & your weight going man?

    Great point.

Going good! Started doing treadmill/cardio to lose some powerlifter's gut and got down to 246 from 270. I apparently kept all the muscle because I'm still doing bent over barbell rows with 335 lbs, dumbell benching 150s.

Just got the vocals back from my singer so I'm about to release my Doom metal solo album later this Summer. Just like with my old heavy metal opera I wrote all the songs and play the lead guitar solos.

Overall very happy with my wife of 2 years and my music and working out. Hope to move out of way-too-hot Missouri and back to New England in the next couple of years.

Hey, how have you been doing, my friend?

Wow post all the links to your work, old & new!
Your strength is fairly insane-you never took more than Creatine & got-& kept late-a strength level few achieve, & rare for someone lifetime natural.
    Must be those dinosaur bones!

I am just enjoyed various NYC art & cultural events, flowering now as the Zombie Apaocalypse recedes, & it is ~ 7 years with my lady, thank you!

No, I can't think of anyone. Whoever it was Joe would be Smokin right on them.

Hey, going to those events in NYC must be amazing! Lucky man. And congratulations on your 7 years :) :) :)

To be forthright, I kind of prefer to remain incognito. At least for now.

Foreman, Liston and probably Lennox. Joe is one of favourite fighters of all time but a big puncher with reach on him is a tough day at the office for him.
