No fighter was ever perfect (apart from Chris Eubank snr ), but what were Some ATG Fighter s Faults /weak spots? To chuck one out, Ali could be vulnerable to the old left hook of course.
Jose Napoles for an amazing fighter and ATG, probably was one of the worst fighters prone to cuts for a fighter who's rated as highly as him.
A great example is Larry Holmes getting caught with the overhand right. Tommy Hearns Legs beyond 6 rds. Even at welter. May Jr. Lack of firepower at welter and above. A.Pryor recklessly off balance when on offense. Marvin Hagler becoming reluctant against slick, skilled boxers. Felix Trinidad lack of head movement, same with Tyson after 1990. Saad Muhammed wasn't defensively sound, to eager to go to war. Bob Foster heavyweights.... Ray Leonard inactivity , lead to skills eroding prematurely. Lennox Lewis endurance, right hands. Shane Mosley,,,, one trick pony, take away his plan "A" usually didn't have a B. Looked lost at times during adversity.
Holmes and those over rights. Couldn't have picked a worse fighter as Shavers to get tagged with that. Ray Leonard, laying off so long at times. That caught up with him after the Hagler fight imo.If he'd being fighting more regularly them he may have managed to go on a little longer maybe, perhaps the Norris fight isn't as one sided. I don't know.. Maybe.
Holyfield was too proud and would get drawn into whatever fight his opponent wanted to fight. Really wanted to beat everyone at their own game.
Stamina wasn't really great at heavy either. He'd set a face he couldn't maintain and hoped his opponent couldn't either. Cost him badly against Bowe.
I always thought that Evander looked fit- like a body builder- more than he was fit, in the way that a fighter is fit. Subsequently I have read that he was never a fan of working his wind.
