Wilder was advised to choose Otto Wallin for the comeback fight.

You basically said exactly what I was thinking.

Wallin would be better than anyone Wilder has fought outside of Fury, and arguably Ortiz. Whey would he come back against his second or third best performance?

    Who advised him?

Wallin's promoter? Seems more like a self serving suggestion.

Wallin is definitely not arguably better than Ortiz. Ortiz might not have a good resume but his demolition of a prime Jennings is better than anything Wallin's done. Also watching them both fight you can just tell Ortiz is way more skilled.

I'd like to see him against Ruiz. If his punches can make the same waves it did in the Fury fight I will watch every punch Wilder lands on slow motion and leave it on a screen in the room to replace my lava lamp.

I am not talking about victories, I am talking about talent. Whyte pulled out against Wallin because he knew he's lose, and that would be better than anything on Ortiz's resume.

I have no argument that Ortiz has a better resume, because he has gotten better fights.

I can see Wallder getting pieced up for a few rounds, before inevitably knocking Wallin out. It would be hilarious to see him call out Fury for struggling with the Swede.

The WBC are desperate to have Wilder as their champion. I've never seen a guy get knocked out twice in a row and still stand as the WBC #1 contender.

Do you reckon he fancies another go at Fury? I'm not entirely sure.

I don´t think Wallins style fits for Wilder, at least there´s a risk to look bad.
Wallin might to be too difficult to hit, because even Fury had problems with him.

Me thinks wallin was made to look better than he actually is when he fought fury...

Wilder probably sparks him in good fashion.

But I'm interested to see him comeback and see if he can cope when fighters now get it on him from the off, it's always intriguing isnt it. :)

Good fight and when Wilder wins with great a KO, Furys win would look bad
